in today's Sun Paper

Gestede wants to move to Watford.

Plus Rovers may bring in Craig Davies on trial to see if he can replace Gestede

Well done for posting news on the messageboard. Good to be able to check in on here and get the latest

looks like Chris Wood will be signing for Wolves this week permanent

I would like to him sign for Rovers but we cant buy him(cos of the Transfer Embargo)

Wood is costing 3 million though. A good finisher with allot of games played by the age of 23 but i question his all round game as it dosen't seem to have developed much.

Craig Davies (Bo Selecta moment) - Not good enough for championship but a good league one player type. Questionable attitude. Yaya Sanogo bombed at Palace on loan last year, wonder if Arsenal would let him come to us on loan considering he'd be playing week in and week out.

Possible strikers (My Opinion only)

Simon Church - Free after being released by Charlton. In his earlier career he had a good run at Reading but not getting regular football has blunted him a bit.

Yaya Sanogo - Loan - Target man to replace Gestede. Surprisingly good with the ball at his feet too.

Gary Hooper - Make weight in Rudy to Norwich deal, season long loan.

James Wilson - Man Utd striker, he is at the time in his career where he needs games, perfect for a NW club.

Church is ok striker.

Sanogo possible

Hooper is too similar to Rhodes for me. much prefer Lewis Grabban. but I think if the Sun Newspaper is correct that Gestede wants to go Watford then I don't us getting either.

Wilson- not seen enough of him.

2 more names I would add would be, Nicky Maynard on free and Chuba Akpom from Arsenal on loan.

If hes of to Watford - Get Sean Murray in exchange, right winger and will be a star if he can get a club with regular football.

Agreed on Maynard but Akpom wont make it i don't think. Hardly pulled up any trees to date either.

Grabban is a cracking shout!

Is Lewis Grabban getting a regular game at Norwich? I thought he had been out of the picture there for a while. Would Ffp allow us to involve him in a deal with Gestede going down there?

Sorry, just seen Grabban mentioned further up.

Why post this without a figure? The fact you say you've been told this is of no interest to anyone is it? Please don't pretend to be an ITK, this site has been plagues with them.

Nice little speech. Pity it's completely wrong. A team of grafters is not my idea of entertainment. Nobody enjoys Big Sam style football. Arte and Labore. Labore on it's own is tedious and boring.

With football the only thing that matters is a winning team. Attractive football is just icing on the top of the cake.

Each to their own but I think being dull as dishwater and unattractive to watch is only sufficient if you're winning often enough to win Championships Leagues and promotions.

If you're only winning enough to trail in lower to mid table and not enough to harbour aspirations of winning anything then I think you have to aspire to at least be entertained for finishing in the same position otherwise there's little point as a spectator. Maybe there is for the bean counters raking in the Premier League loot.

Or when needed to fight against relegation with a weak squad. Mark Hughes 1st season saw him play necessary 'gritty' and unattractive football to keep us in the Prem. Ince played passing football and was taking us down, Allardyce's variety saved our bacon. Same on a number of occasions when TP's safety first version prevented relegation. You should know better than to propose chasing an impossible dream of attractive passing football with a squad of poor players Simon.

Whilst I'd do anything to avoid the Willowe pairing that I'm terrified we'll see again at some stage next season I certainly wouldn't be bothering with Spearing. No wonder he couldn't get in a relatively poor Bolton side the guy is pants. No better or worse than what we already have and way too similar. We need something different to try and compliment what we've got but I can just see Bowyer going safe and signing him.

Whilst he's somehow brought in a few decent bodies I think a major downside of his management is being unable to get partnerships to compliment each other in all key areas of the pitch. Apart from up front where he only seems to sign big lumps of varying ability partnerships never get chance to gel anyway because of all the needless swapping about.

Player development .....? Maybe. Team development..no !
