If he wants to play then his best chance is at Rovers then?

Olsson moving to the left wing?

Swansea first choice left back Neil Taylor has just signed a new deal there(I Think)

But didn't Bowyer say he was looking forward to the battle for left back between Spurr and Olsson?

I see Gordon is using the wrong topic (this is for transfers) to comment on people not going to Ewood again. The same Gordon who jacked in his ST for Golf. Do as I say, not as I do. You couldn't make it up.

I'm with Ammo. Dougie is a nice fella. Met him several times up at the New Drop but just because he's an ex player his opinion, like ours, is not gospel. Brian Kidd won a european cup but his eye for a player was worse than Bowyers.

Gestede could surely get a more permanent PL gig than a 9 month stint at Watford?

Didn't we used to have a player called Terry Garbutt?

Early seventies but his name was spelt Garbett. 90 league appearances.

why would we need garbutt? we have good enough players in that posistion.. other areas of the team are far more pressing.. let`s hope this is just gossip with no foundation..

Why ?

Unsettling our players ?...Gestede came out and said he wants away and Premier League football . Now...thats unsettling .

Hardly saying anything that most probably wont happen ....maybe Sutton has got Rovers at heart knowing we could really do with the brass Gestede could bring in ..

Nonsense. Sutton is yet another 'club legend' that actually aligns himself with another club. He's talking about Celtic not Man Utd. What can Celtic offer that we can't? A couple of Champions League qualifiers? Gestede has never said he 'wants away'. He has said he wants to move to the Premier League if the chance comes along.

Why on earth would a club legend encourage another club to try and sign one of our best players? Can you imagine Ryan Giggs encouraging Real Madrid to try and sign Wayne Rooney?

Sounds like a true fan. Not the type to ditch his club to play GOLF.

Yet another TEDIOUS AND INFANTILE comment.

Tell me Topman unless we are talking about buying a rovers shirt with No 9 on the back in '95 exactly how much money have you put into the coffers of Blackburn Rovers in your entire life? How many ST's have you bought for Ewood? How much corporate hospitality have you funded?

Cairney looked decent when he first came to rovers, but has flattered to deceive overall. Lacks the all round ability to play a central midfield role in my opinion. Wouldn't be surprised if bowyer is happy to replace him even if his hand has been forced.

talented lad, can spot a pass and was our player of the year in 13/14. Lovely hair, but he tends to go missing a bit when it's not going his way/ his hair's not right.

Played mostly right midfield for us even though he's all left foot. Bowyer called him our answer to David Silva. He may have been drunk... :)

Talented as long as you don't mind a player that doesnt understand the concept of team defending, or concerned about a player that gets caught in possession an alarming amount of times..

Went through the fulham forums and many seem to think it's a done deal to be announced today or tomorrow. How many years does Tunnicliffe have remaining there? He's not so popular there atm and the fans want to get rid of him. Could we get him at a cut price valuation as a part of the cairney deal? We should be looking at 2.5m plus Tunnicliffe. 3m is a low price for a player like cairney.

We can't sign anyone in deal for money at all. The only way we could get tunnicliffe is if he was out of contract or on loan.. I think..

I didn't mean sign him for money. But can't we negotiate a player plus cash deal? For instance, if they're prepared to offer 3.5m cash for Cairney, we could ask for 2.5m and the rest of the money could go towards cancelling tunnicliffe's contract at Fulham.

How much is the fee?

I would be very surprise if Cairney left tbh unless it was a bid of around 5 million.
