Is the squad size limit due to the transfer embargo?

On a positve note, a smaller squad might stop the Tinkerman changing the team every game.

I see we've been linked with Sandro Wagner from hertha Berlin. Dont know anything about him personally. Guess he must have been released for us to be linked or it's crap journalism. I think I can probably guess which.

I think Chaddy was referring to Kamy's post which was written in April (apparently - the link doesn't work). So In April, the last couple of months would've referred to Feb/Mar or Mar/Apr.

Either way, they've obviously not come up with anything!

Not a clue what he's like but his goal scoring record stands up there with Varney and Browney's, which means he could be a good'un.

Kamy's post was written on the 28th April. So the last 2 months would be March and April when most leagues are still playing.

We should be looking at hungry league 1 players who are out to prove something rather than trying to squeeze journeymen into our pay structure.

Give me 11 lads that are hungry out to make an impression rather than 11 lads who will spend the season p1ssed of that they're not being paid more.

The supporters should be asking are these scouts working for agents or for the club.

We have a Chief Scout in Tommy Johnson.

He did an interview last week with LT.

Wouldn't this Wagner guy require a transfer fee ? His contract runs out next summer according to transfermarket. Maybe a loan then..

6 foot 4 and from Hertha Berlin reserves? I'll keep my gob shut as Chris Samba was a big lad from Hertha Berlin reserves and he turned out alright!

I've never heard of Wagner but a quick look at his CV suggests he is the sort of player we should be looking at were Gestede to leave.

Someone who still has time left (27) to improve and do a job for us for a few years.

We should be looking at players who have maybe lost their way at little bit but undoubtedly have something about them. Having played for Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen there is clearly something there to be brought out.

If he is under contract for another year then why not offer Berlin a deal where we pay £10k a week for the next 12 months then sign him permanently after that?

What a cracking little winger Leonard. John Connelly was another who I liked, not to mention the 'hard man' Wally Joyce. Wonderful memories.

I only go back as far as Connelly and Blacklaw, Parson. I just loved watching Johnny Price

.Funnily enough, wingers do feature highly in my list of favourite ever Rovers players...Noel, Waggy and Duffer to name three others.....I'd never have got on with Alf Ramsey!

Wonderful players Leonard and each so very different from the other but all had genuine quality. Another who had links with Burnley early in his career and who I absolutely worshipped was Fergie. A real maverick who could turn a full-back inside out at will.

On Taylor?

IMO, He is good player and I could see him playing in the hole behind Rhodes if we do play 4-5-1/4-2-3-1

He works hard and gets up and down but we are really struggling if he plays in the hole. Scored a few in the FA cup bit I wouldn't say he is a natural fit there.

Hope this Wagner guy is composed in front of goal.

No good for us. At the first sign of trouble he'll be after orchestrating a move.
