chris_h Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Not a bad week really - Nyambe 3 year deal, Lenihan signs, O'Sullivan likewise, Taylor as well and Conway expresses a desire to stay. No wonder Mercerman has gone quiet.

AdamRochina Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Twitter going into meltdown , we are close to signing carlton Cole on a two year deal 😂 people will belive anything
JHRover Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Derby continue their Premier League level expenditure with the permanent signing of Tom Ince from Hull to go with Darren Bent, Andy Weimann and soon to be Liam Bridcutt. I really do wonder how on earth such expenditure can be carried out given they are supposedly limited to £8 million losses in a year. Unless they are making a freakishly big profit then it doesn't make sense. But hey ho, Derby just another club that can do as they wish to try and get to the Premier League whilst the £150,000 we've spent on Shane Duffy is our only cash outlay in 18 months yet we should be stopped for breaking the rules.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I hope there is no substance to the Davies story....dear God!

What id lime ti see is some NEW faces something to add at least a tinge of excitement.

Does Derbys situation not hammer home just how much damage was done the year we went down? Derby may have used some clever tactics to get round some aspects but at the same time it just shows me how much debt was brought onto the club in that 12 month period.

One thing it hammers home is that they get double the attendances that we do.
AdamRochina Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Did you start the rumour? No mate I saw it and then saw it all over Facebook .. I think someone asked kammy about it as well
Pete1981 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 From Nixon MIDDLESBROUGH are signing BOLTON defender Alex Baptiste. Minimal fee. Wages off for Bolton.
Stuart Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 From Nixon MIDDLESBROUGH are signing BOLTON defender Alex Baptiste. Minimal fee. Wages off for Bolton. Really hope that's BS.But then again we probably can't afford him.
Parsonblue Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Really hope that's BS. But then again we probably can't afford him. The embargo rules forbid us paying any fees whatsoever so it's academic really.
tomphil Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 He'll have been on Prem style wages at Bolton as when he signed they threw a few quid about for a while in terms of contracts. Spearing the same which hopefully rules us out unless they loan him back and pay half.
Kamy100 Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 No idea who they are but 2 trialists will be joining Rovers for training over for the next week or so.
Glosrover Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 No idea who they are but 2 trialists will be joining Rovers for training over for the next week or so. Carlton Coles' brothers, NatKing and Oldking
Backroom Tom Posted July 3, 2015 Backroom Posted July 3, 2015 No idea who they are but 2 trialists will be joining Rovers for training over for the next week or so. Hope they are as good as Songo'o he had a full summer on trial before his contract
patrickvalery Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Come off it Tom. It's not that cut and dry. For minimum outlay we took a chance on a player who had the attributes to make it. Sadly professional football isn't all about attributes. The bloke didn't develop and didn't make the next step. Maybe that's because Bowyer and his staff didn't extract the best from him. Or maybe it's because the lad lacked the aptitude or attitude to develop. I'm not saying Bowyer deserves impunity. But if we're gonna beat him let's do it with the Alan Judge fiasco not a calculated risk like songo'o.

I don't remember reading a single post on any message board complaining about rovers letting judge go at the time of his move.
