And O'Hara signs for Fulham.

That's Cairney out wide then - bet he can't wait :tu:

Seriously though Tunnicliffe has got to be surplus to requirements soon (appreciate we can only get him on loan). I know some people didn't rate him but I thought he was great - bit of tenacity and drive in the midfield.

Or more like Jossy's Giants!

On Furman, I'm quite keen to have a look at what he's like. After a bit of googling and reading a few comments sections at the bottom of reports, it appears that the lad is very well liked in South Africa. Knowing how they like grafters and players with something about them, I'm definitely reserving any judgement until I see him.

Certainly would be more promising than Lowe (keen, athletic, injury prone, can't pass forward) Williamson (very committed, good tackler, old, slow, cant pass forward) and Evans (um...?)

Hope we get Tunni in asap. Haven't seen anyone we have been linked to who is better.

Where does the myth about Williamson's passing come from? He may lose the ball through being slow, but his passing (in whichever direction, including forward) is of a good standard imo. He's especially adept at cross-field passes from wing to wing, I reckon (although his through balls leave a lot to be desired).

Rovers season before last with Lowe virtually ever present finished just outside play offs. Last season with Lowe missing most of it..? Get the picture..?

 He missed most of the last dozen games of that season and his absence was noted at the time as the catalyst. Amazing how the past can be reinvented.

Agree with this. For this reason we probably won't sign him...!

Well I personally rate Lowe highly, as do many within the game..

Lowe needs to learn how to impose himself on a game if he wants to be a proper defensive midfielder. I don't care how much ground he covers when it accomplishes nothing. He should be a terrier who hassles the opposition and snaps at their heels. No one would care about his crab-like passing if he could master those basics. His job would be to simply get it and give it to the more talented players in midfield... if there are any left. In some ways he reminds me of a younger Keith Andrews. No one could honestly tell you what his strength is on the pitch, but because he puts in plenty of effort and is rarely injured, he gets the nod.

Not too concerned about Baptiste, as central defense is a position wher we have decent coverage for and he never came close to setting the world on fire at right back. Our meagre resources are better spent elsewhere.

For example, apparently Daniel Toszer will leave Watford as they've signed Capoue from Tottenham. Defensive midfielder, played over 40 games for Watford last season, scoring and assisting 5.

I see that Toszer will leave Watford but it be on a free transfer?

Seriously though Tunnicliffe has got to be surplus to requirements soon (appreciate we can only get him on loan).

I would really like Tunnicliffe to sign for Rovers

£6m from a promoted side swimming in TV cash is a ripoff. Ross McCormack went from Leeds to Fulham for £11m.

Depending on how he's valued by whoever and how much we need ready cash.. If any club comes with ready cash not installments he'll go for less than the original valuation

Your right but it'll be known by everyone in Football that we are desperate and the player is also desperate to leave. Maybe Shaw will give them a massive discount, he's good at throwing money away.

Erm a lot thought we'd hang on for 10.. tbh cash on the table anything over 5 he's probably sold

I thought it was widely accepted that we valued Gestede at 7m and that story referring to 6m + add ons tends to confirm that. There's no indication whatsoever we're prepared to let him go on the cheap.
