Haha so you KNOW that no one ever wanted to sign them do you? I'd guess not mate.

Oh and I'll trust people who actually work IN football for opinion on players thanks.

How do you know what industry unleaded works in

Think you'll find unleadeds information is top notch and with no disrespect to Kamy or Nixon he's more in the know and on the ball than either

Playing devils advocate here a bit but maybe GB "bigging" Hanley and Lowe up IS because he wants to sell them?? ..lets be honest if you are trying to sell your car you're not going to tell people it leaks oil and rattles if it goes over 70mph are you?... and the reason why he insists on playing them because if a scottish international is fit and playing he's worth £2m-£3m ?? ... if he's benched he's worth 750k ... just a thought

Probably true in Hanley's case , Lowe not so sure would struggle to sell him , too anybody better than today's opponents !

That would add to the squad/player value coming before actual results theory I suppose. They all have a price and if they don't play their individual value won't increase regardless of what the team is doing. Adds weight to the rotation policy as well. I'm not saying they don't set out to win because I think they do but the manager won't chase results and adopts a style that easily allows swapping players about without it being a total disaster. Can't say I like it but we are stuck with it for now.

It is very ironic that Nobody wants to sign Hanley or Jason Lowe !

Despite the Manager GB bigging these 2 up at every given moment ....just goes to show you what this guy knows .....

Nice to see you back Unleaded, hope you are ok.

Any snippets of information?

Rovers linked with Hugo Rodallega. Striker ex wigan and Fulham player. Available on a free.

Brighton linked with Marshall.

Both in today's Sun paper.

IMO, Rodallega is a decent striker and better than Brown or Fortester.

And I wouldnt sell Marshall cos I see Him and Rhodes has our key players this coming season

Rodellaga is clumsy but has or had some pace, worthwhile option

Rodallega would be decent on a free. I'd be after him even if we keep R & R as he'd provide great competition or back up if he came within the wage budget. Someone who can put the ball in the net, let's show a bit of ambition. Could even go 3 up front at home and smash this division ........

Marshall to Brighton for 1.2m sounds like the usual Nixon let's try and sell a Blackburn player cock and balls !

Both stories sound like balls. Marshall is not going anywhere for 1.2m - he will be 3m at least.

Also Rodallega at thirty on a free transfer is like to attract offers way over our 10k a month ceiling. 10 goals in 25 starts last season for Fulham, former premier league quality (very highly rated at one point),

If we sign him it will be a huge coup. But I will be amazed.

ps. Actually I guess we could offer him a ludicrously long contract (4 years?) at 10k a week that no one else would offer, and that might make us competitive. I mean he will know we are good for payoffs from his old mates Murphy and Etuhu...

Agenda ? Explain

The chap with the good info has a bit of a bee in his bonnet for some reason

I don't rate Hanley Lowe or Gary particularly but unleadeds opinions are quite primal

Posted

From reading Alan Nixon comments it appears that Rodallaga's agent approach Rovers and offer us Hugo. His agent will know that we can only pay 10k a week

I wouldn't object to Rodallega at 10k a week. 29 according to Wiki, and whilst his performances in the Prem dipped off after initially being highly (and I felt at the time, over) rated, he hit 10 in 24 in the Championship last season. Has to be a better bet than your Browns and Varneys as backup, and if he can put them away at that rate isn't a bad replacement for Rudy's goals whilst we are under embargo. I do wonder why he only made 24 league appearances for Fulham though if he was scoring nearly one in two. Injury woes? I mean, Chris Brown played twenty for us with the most lethal partnership in the league to compete with, and didn't put the ball in the net once.

.

I'm not disputing the stories are nonsense, Nixon gets very little correct as we all know but why do you think Marshall value has trebled since we bought him?

He's had 1/2 season where hes showed real consistency, has that put 2m on his value?

Posted

Marshall cost £1m according to reports at the time. Selling him now for £1.2m is pure fantasy on Nixons/Brighton's part. He did more than Cairney last season and we got £3m+ for him and Marshall is the better player imo.

10 goals in 33 games last season. 30 starts, 3 subs and 9 on bench but not used

I wouldn't be too disappointed if Marshall left and we doubled our money. I don't see how Brighton would get their hands on that type of brass though. I'd be more concerned if we lost Conway so I'm glad the Wolves rumours came to nought and he has said he wants to stay.
