Stuart Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Is there any real truth in it? I did a search of the Daily Star online (referred to in the Transfer & News thread) but, to my disappointment, could find nothing.Somebody posted this on Fb earlier...

Bucksrover Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Rumours of Hanley to Burnley, that lot are discussing it on their message board... Let's all pretend that we'll be gutted to see it happen. Would be hilarious. He is a young, full international who has scored at Old Trafford................. only kidding - I'll get my car keys and go pick him up. Trouble is I have a worrying feeling Bowyer would reject 10 million bids for either hanley or lowe, or that bain of my life Williamson for that matter
Blueandwhitemike Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Can't see Rodallega happening. I mean you can't just add a Y on the end of the name so that might just put the kabosh on the deal. Come on mate, we're going from Rudy to Roddy
JBiz Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I guess the last few posts show how far removed I must be from the norm. If we sell our captain and home made international for pittance to Burnley, I'll be absolutely gutted.

chris_h Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Think it's close. Hope you're right. He would seem ok on a freebie and we'll have fought off Forest (apparently)and someone else I can't remember.
Al Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Chris are you mad? To much Amber nectar? We can't reinvest that money we'd get for Marshall, only way to replace him is free transfers and other sides cast offs for under 10k a week! I give up GAV. Some people are never going to get their heads around that. Sigh!

A little input and self belief from Dyche could make you regret saying that.

bluebruce Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I guess the last few posts show how far removed I must be from the norm. If we sell our captain and home made international for pittance to Burnley, I'll be absolutely gutted. A pittance? Three million is definitely more than he is worth. A liability of a centre half who should in no way be our captain, for about the same as we got for Cairney? Count me happy with that one. The only downside is it is Burnley, and as much as I don't rate the lad, I think he still does have a bit of latent potential if he gets his head screwed on. It would be terrible if he realised that potential with them, but hilarious if he becomes their Captain Liability instead. Highly replaceable, unlike our other players linked with moves in that bracket.
Gav Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I'm no Hanley fan, he's a bit of a liability, but again you have to ask: How do we replace him if he left? Look at the players that we've brought in on free transfers, it doesn't make good reading.
Damien Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I like Hanley! I think he is still learning and will only get better. I doubt there is any substance to this story but I would be extremely gutted to see him leave. We need bodies in now... Keeping the existing team and adding is needed, not more departures! Also someone on Twitter has tweeted they have seen Rhodes playing golf... Waking on his injured ankle with no problems...
JAL Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Those 2 rats left 3yrs ago, although Anderson is still involved in transfers. Shebby Singh wasted millions. We have no board room structure 100m in debt and climbing. Under FFP without a peep out of Shaw to challenge this. Yet you think they're just keeping their heads down? What's it going to take for people to remove there heads from there arses? Burnley to sign Rovers captain perhaps regardless of what they may think of the player it's still Burnley to take Rovers captain to Turf Moor. How times have changed.

Also someone on Twitter has tweeted they have seen Rhodes playing golf... Waking on his injured ankle with no problems... Hanley had a major dip in performance last season - but I agree he still has great potential and is still nowhere near his peak. IMO Burnley would have to at least double the £3m to make me even think of accepting.
AllRoverAsia Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Somebody posted this on Fb earlier... It's starting to look like a Dingle led photoshop wind up - example - look at the spacing and the part of a badge (?) in top right. PLUS Chaddy would have told if true!
Waggy76 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Hanley's decent quality imo. A little input and self belief from Dyche could make you regret saying that. I totally agree with you , for once or maybe twice now lol

Was in Sheffield last night with his dad Andy (GK Coach) at Wednesday having tea.
martonrover Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Look on the bright side - if Venky's sell Hanley, Bowyer might resign in protest at one of his two darlings being sold ;-)
chaddyrovers Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I really think Rhodes and Marshall will be sold Chaddy, I don't have anything to backup this feeling but I think they'll be sold. I'd be absolutely stunned if Rhodes hasn't expressed a desire to move on, especially after the Hull transfer debacle last season when Shaw sold him only for Venkys to pull it last minute, thats just unacceptable in my book. I really hope not Gav. I think Shaw's job is to get the best deal he can then present it to the owners for their verdict/decision like J*B said ages ago. Rodallega would be a top signing. Good replacement for King. Also don't be surprised if we try and take Bannan on loan as Cairney's replacement. With Maguire to sign shortly, a lot of deadwood gone, and 4 very good youth team players ready to step up next season we may not be as bad as first feared. I hope Maguire does sign for us. Bannan on loan? not a bad shout but I think Bowyer will play more 4-2-3-1 formation and hopefully Marshall in the hole with Rhodes up front with O'Sullivan and Conway on the wings. Also wouldn't surprise me if we sign Furman. I'm no Hanley fan, he's a bit of a liability, but again you have to ask: How do we replace him if he left? Look at the players that we've brought in on free transfers, it doesn't make good reading. Hanley's replacement could be Doniel Henry from WHU on loan. did well last season here on loan PLUS Chaddy would have told if true! I don't read the Sunday Star so wouldn't know
tomphil Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Rumours of Hanley to Burnley, that lot are discussing it on their message board... Let's all pretend that we'll be gutted to see it happen. Would be hilarious. He isn't always my favourite martian but I don't want him going there. If a decent gaffer got hold of him particularly someone like Dyche he could turn into a player. Mind you 3 million....... ah go on then
martonrover Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Let's face it, our chances of getting Rodallega are minimal. Someone could gazump us by offering more than 10k a week and that's that. Shame as would be the first signing to capture the imagination for some time.
Athlete Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I think thats what Brighton want to pay for him. Agree with Tom M comments about Rodallaga Rodallega was on a whopping 80k at Fulham in the premership don't know what it dropped to after relegation doubt very much he'll come for anything like 10k

Shame as would be the first signing to capture the imagination for some time. It is strange he's been offered to us. It could be to start a bit of an auction or it could be they sniff a bit of the old sign on, flop, sit it out then get paid off if he's carrying a recurring injury or something. Hopefully not but our antics won't have gone unnoticed amongst the real chancers in football.
