Only slightly related question, but, how do you all wash your Rovers shirts? In the dark wash or the whites? I don't do a 'lights', it's one or t'other. I always worry that if I put it in with the whites, it will dye them, and if it goes in with the darks, they will dye the white halves. All it says is 'wash with similar colours', but it contains two pretty dissimilar colours itself.

Whites. As it has white IN it, they will be tested so the blue doesn't run into the white.

Looks like the halves aren't reversed on the back. They can't do owt reyt, again.

This.

We haven't had a proper home shirt since Venkys walked through the door actually.

First the halves weren't reversed on the back, then they swapped the blue and white over to the wrong sides, then we got a weird shade of blue last season, now we get a nice looking shirt and they have gone back to problem number 1!

Rediculous, every one out, etc, etc.

There's too many buttons on a washing machine, and three compartments for the powders etc. I mean, what goes where?!

As long as it's on a less than 40 degrees wash it should be fine....

Cant work out if the colours are reversed on back going by how it is on the shoulders on that hanger. But how come it shows some white down the left side as we look at it. Unless its just a stripe?

Looking through the neck hole, it doesn't look like its reversed on the back. It looks like the recent half and half instead of quarters.

Why do they have to keep fiddling with the home shirt? The mock up got great feedback, the actual shirt looks like changing for changing' sake - again. Much like our team they can't seem to just stick with what works and what the fans want.

I was hoping to get the home shirt this year. The thought of looking like I'm wearing a United shirt is not a happy prospect.

Get over it, this is a thread about washing!

On the subject of club shirts I have taken the time to look at the other clubs in our league and see how many are in a similar position to ourselves. I.e. no official photos, no teasers, no players wearing the shirt, no release date. Once again we're missing out on the opportunity to sell shirts before the summer begins and as every week ticks by the new shirts have a shorter lifespan and less selling time.

I appreciate that in the grand scheme of things this is a minor issue but it seems to be a recurring theme at this club, and it frustrates me that time and time again we seem to be playing catch up and be slow off the mark with things like merchandise and informing supporters in comparison to our rivals.

The result is we're now relying on a photo taken in a sports shop in Hong Kong where the shirt is seemingly already on sale, rather than it being the club providing the first images as should be the case.

It just strikes me that the club consider things like releasing the new kits to be nothing more than an irritating distraction rather than an opportunity to promote the club and make some money like other people do. I particularly like the way QPR and MK Dons have come up with imaginative ways of releasing their new shirts and engaging the clubs supporters in that process by having online videos and Q and A sessions.

Last season's shirts were very popular. The club had sold out of many sizes by Christmas, and the response of the club was to shrug their shoulders and blame Nike for the shortage. Not good enough.

We're a professional football club with a multi-million pound turnover aspiring to be in the Premier League. We should be calling the shots. If the contract with Nike prevents us from selling as many shirts as possible then we should be terminating that contract and going with a manufacturer who can produce the kits early doors and in sufficient numbers to maximise revenue for the club.

My impression is that we are way down Nike's production priorities and as a result we have to wait until they have sorted out their business with United/Barca etc before they get round to furnishing us with our kits. That's not acceptable.

This is even more important in the era of FFP where every penny of income counts.

Just for interests sake, as far as i can see we are the only club in the Championship that as yet hasn't either

1) already got the new kit on sale

2) provided a release date for the new kit

3) provided a proper photo shoot or images of the new kit.

Again, probably not our biggest concern at the moment, but the club should be trying its hardest to communicate and engage with the supporters and we are hearing nothing.

Its like there is a general attitude around the club of 'couldn't care less' which exists not only from the owners but throughout the club these days.

After seeing the success of last seasons shirts - albeit helped by a bit of rare positivity for the team - it's ridiculous that they've gone back to type in regards to this seasons sales etc. No surprise at all though as with every passing season the club takes another step to being run like a corner shop outfit on all levels.

When we went down for a few seasons, away from the playing side we were still run like a Prem club, totally wrong and not sustainable of course. Now what we have is the shell of a Prem club stocked largely with league one style staff and run at the top like a conference outfit.
