If we did the same and even if Sky or any of the footballing media reported it, I still maintain we'd be fitted up as the pantomime villains once again though!

I wouldn't care though.

31245 views and 682 posts on this thread- so what's the verdict???

I still think a peaceful but impactful statement to the owners, the Board and the media would come in agreeing to all stay on the concourse for the first 15 minutes of a chosen game. No trouble, all quite silent but a match kicking off with nobody in the seats would be a hell of a talking point. Poll??

I've been advocating this for years to be totally fair!

Congratulations. Although that statement does imply that people who are not as rich or well connected as you, do not have choices.

Must admit that wasn't what I gleamed from what he said!

Is this thread a joke? have been asleep the last 4 years? We did the protesting, no one cared just made out that all rovers fans where idiots. Whats the point of protesting if the owners don't give the slightest?

What do you suggest?

Enlighten us please.

I have no right to say this, as I live 678564 thousand miles away, but why cant fans go to Ewood on Friday, and 10 or 15 mins into the game, walk out and leave?

Ive seen this this before, but not sure which league it was.

To be honest, under normal circumstances a televised game would be the time to do something like this. The trouble is:

1) There would still be fans sat in their seats cheering on the team and slating those fans leaving as plastics and showing that they are better supporters.

2) Nobody outside of Rovers fans cares.

I'm so sick of this. I'm sure a few of you will be bouncing around happy this morning, but I am extremely angry about yesterday.

Any other owners wouldn't have this happen to the club. To have such ridiculous press. For instance, if the notion that they'd sack them is not something they are yet to consider, yesterday will cause the entire fan base to jump on the back of the manager if we have one more slip up, and the knives where sharpened yesterday in the extreme. Equally, if they are thinking of changing the manager - we have a week to the transfer shuts and we are in embargo. Taking those two into account would make me think that any change they have made must be well researched, timed and an appropriate replacement in the wings..... I cannot see this happening with Derek Shaw and the indians.

The notion thats really annoying me the most?; If this is another example of someone within the club jumping the gun, or releasing this kind of information to influence decisions - it's just another example of the kind of crap that is taking this club backwards. I think yesterday saw the dysfunctional setup cause yet more embarrassment for the fans of the club.

People can argue against that notion and suggest going backwards is all about negative tactics or sticking with Jason Lowe (harbinger of the apocalypse) etc - but if we have a board who are completely disconnected from the ownership, that has to resort to underhand tactics to sway decisions - how could anyone argue that this is not putting us back?

I said 5 games can change a lot, and if you'd asked me preseason should GB be replaced if we haven't won in 5 - well my answer would have been probably. I just cannot believe that it would be handled so badly AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday has caused a heap of problems such as; if now there is the pressure on the owners from fans to sack, this could cause the exact problem we had with Kean where he became pillored from all angles yet hung onto his job for 2 years, or the world knowing we want a new manager rather than a private and well researched look being orchestrated and signed off before GB would be potted. There are more problems than this, such as further embarrassment in press and fans that will be baying for blood the next time we concede at Ewood. We need the fans behind the team, this is a fact.

If he does leave - what are the chances that Pearson, Lambert or someone of equal recent experience getting the job? I've already seen two regular posters suggest Colin Hendry but I don't think his community service for his recent crimes can be applied to being our manager for a year.

So yes, for the first time in a while GAV I am with you. Thats not to say I think running on the pitch is a good idea because its not.

This friday is time to protest the owners again. We are on TV, and we are sick of being made a joke by a bunch of tossers in PUNE. Before and after the game banners for all to see - big words "VENKYS - YOU TOOK OUR PRIDE, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO RETURN IT?" with a picture of Jack Walker.

These lot really do hang their managers out to dry in public whoever they might be. It has been said though that the journo who wrote that piece for the Sun (scum) is one who's close to Bowyer. Strange goings on indeed but things have far too quiet and stable for a while, something had to give. I expect far more farce in the near future.

Venkys out !

At the very least on Fri night there should a banner facing the cameras simply saying Venkys out.
