I remember my daughter being amazed when she went to her first presser how limited it was. Think it was at city when Ericsson was manager and the level of sycophancy was amazing, from those who were there, and lots of valid reporting outlets werent even there.

Just imagine if they've managed to plant their own man on the local paper every angles covered.

The more I think about this the more it seems they could maybe be preparing for the admin we've been expecting at some stage. No sign of them, communication with Ewood at a minimum, nicely settled into the embargo, ten mill worth of chips cashed in pre season.

With no targets set and the only aim seeming to be midtable safety this season the club may be nicely poised to enter admin in March. Of course what happens in the window will be more revealing on that score but it would be amazing if something doesn't happen one way or another by the end of the season.

Or of course we could just plod on and get another injection of 20 mill share capital to help carry on the dumbing down process.

They aren't running the club bringing the players in.

So if we are still being controlled by a third party then the only aim will be for them to line their respective pockets so on and on we will rumble. Tell you what though if that is the case I'm out next season until this lot clear off, enough is enough, @#/? em !

Couldn't agree more Abbey. To sum up the last 5 and a bit years:

November 2010 and the clowns take over our one proud, famous football club established in 1875.

December 2010 they sack Sam Allardyce, an experienced Premier League manager with a proven track record. Here are some of the quotes on his sacking from our football savvy owners:-

Venky’s chairman Anuradha Desai asked for fans to show patience and trust as they set about turning Blackburn Rovers in to India’s favourite team.

“We want good football and Blackburn to be fourth or fifth in the league or even better,” Desai told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“The fans should trust us because this is in the best interests of the club.

“It is nothing against Sam but we have a different vision looking forward and we want the club to grow.

“The fans should trust us and have belief in us.”

He was ultimately replaced by a lying, smug faced, incompetent individual.

At that time we were handily place in the Premier League with players including, Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Emerton, Jermaine Jones, Phil Jones, Hoilett. Pedersen, N'zonzi, Roberts, Kalinic. (majority were internationals)

Attendances averaged 25,500.

Fast forward to January 2016.

We are lying in 18th place in the Championship (However you dress it up it's the 2nd Division) with absent owners, who have no vision for the future and our arch enemies down the M65 look as though they are heading back to the promised land.

We have a mediocre keeper, defenders who always look likely to make a mistake and hoof the ball up to ill-equipped strikers, midfielders who are not comfortable in possession, can't shoot from outside the box, pass backwards and sideways, very rarely look to receive the ball from defenders, hardly ever instigate 1-2's in or around the box and forwards low in confidence and signing players released from their respective clubs deemed not good enough. Oh and a centre-forward we signed in June 2014 who has yet to score a goal for the club and today is our Man of the Match. (Apparently deservedly) Were Frank Lord, Martin Britt, Paul McKinnon, Bryan Conlon and John O'Mara that bad after all?.

Our gates have plummeted to 12,000, with thousands of supporters lost forever.

I never imagined for one moment our fall from grace could be so dramatic.

Until these idiotic owners disappear from our once famous football club, then, in the words of Private Fraser in Dad's Army...Wur Doomed!

MG ROAD

SHOW THIS TO YOUR'RE PAYMASTERS!!!!!!

THEY SHOULD HANG THEY'RE HEAD IN SHAME AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO OUR CLUB!!!!!!!!

So lets assume MG Road does and Desai says "they're right, let's stop investment and sell the club". Who is buying a northern club with gates of 10k, in 150m quid worth of debt in the Championship sat lower mid table? Answer - nobody. Within a month we are in voluntary admin, ala Bolton.

Whatever they've done, we are now in a position where we can't do without them.

Well if you are happy to see the club die a slow painful death then thats up to you. There will be no rovers anyway if these bungling lunatics carry on .Id rather go down Bolton's route and get it over and done with and start a new . Gates of 4000 are coming under these tosspots.

What are they currently doing wrong Abbey and in all honesty, what have they done wrong since they appointed Bowyer?

It's not a trick question or anything, I just can't understand what this magic wand (or pitchfork) outcome would be that you are promoting again.

Also, how will we move forwards without them and their ability to currently pay players, staff, electricity, gas, water, council tax, stewards, administration staff etc.

Any sensible suggestions and I might well be with you.

It's interesting that with the hope and appointment of Lambert, the Venkys discussion has been virtually totally absent. Now, with performances struggling, they're back on the agenda again.

Just a thought............... Maybe Agnew was right when he said that just a few wins and the fans would be in acceptance.

and with them the club dies..done wrong ? really ? you really have to ask...have a look on the pitch at the overpaid prima donnas yesterday !

have a look at the empty seats ...nah they are brill

Yes but they showed their hand in November. They finally brought in a disciplinarian, an experienced backroom staff, and be honest - the way the players react is largely the responsibility of themselves and the manager. Poor performances on the pitch aren't their doing and all they can do is pay bills and provide the boss with what he wants, I think they are doing.

The sacking of Allardyce and three years of Blackburn circus certainly was their fault, whether they were duped or not it was all their decision making.

Currengly Lambert needs men out there, and like you say not overpaid prima donnas. It is awful and unbelievably frustrating to watch and a quick fix would be awesome - but let's be honest, there needs to be a cull of that squad and players worthy of wearing our shirt need to be brought in and we need to get behind them. Unfortunately, we can't really do that until June so we are in for a hell of a lot of frustration for a while yet.

Stick with it Abs.

If you read my earlier post you will see that under a proven experienced manager we had a group of players we are now crying out for; battlers, winners, leaders and because of their total incompetence and their shocking decision making, a second rate team and players are what we are left with. So I think it is definitely their doing! And where is our manager going to get all these men who are not prima donnas from?

And we should be grateful for them paying staff, players wages and electricity bills.

Well thanks a bunch Venky's for your kindness and understanding. I feel that I owe you an apology for suggesting that you have systematically destroyed an institution that has been a large part of my life since 1961....Else, Bray, Newton, Clayton etc etc etc.

Ok. So with that arguement relegation, players like Ashley Ward, Nathan Blake and Christian Dailly were all Jack's fault.

Were they hell though, they were the fault of the managers that bought them in - but he footed the bill for that calamity.

Playing Devils advocate, there was no question over Jacks motives. He had our trust. Over time they didn't always get it right, but we never questioned that he had the best interests of BRFC at heart.

Thats not the case with Venkys. So even though they've belatedly started to make logical decisions, they do not have our trust. They probably never will have our trust. So we hold them at a higher degree of culpability for what goes wrong. We are basically still damaged from their very early decisions, and those decisions were taken under very dubious motives.

To sum up. Venkys are only in it for Venkys, a vanity project. The future of the Club is not their paramount concern. For me they are like a Hex over the Club and we will only really flourish when they are gone because the two are simply a bad fit.

I personally have been encouraged by recent events, but ultimately I want them gone. Its like a bad marriage with Kids to consider. It will be a difficult divorce, but ultimately it needs to happen.

I do agree with a lot of that although I genuinely cannot see anyone rich enough or honest enough who'd be interested enough to take us over. We are such a poor prospect nowadays and my arguement is that they (or any owners in the world) aren't responsible for motivating players or choosing tactics - that's the players and Lambert's role.

To be brutally honest, If I was mega rich, I could buy Rovers with Rovers in my heart and three generations of Rovers fans before me and I'd be one bad appointment away from having some clueleless chavs questioning me and having a right old chew. Certainly damned if you do, damned if you don't with everything you'd do. I just think that with the club in such a precarious position and common sense finally prevailing, now is certainly not the time to rock the boat. We need someone with balls to carry on the rebuilding process that Bowyer started and we need to ignore the impatient folk who believe in money growing trees and miracles. We don't have a God given right to do well and certainly don't have a decent squad - we need to be patient because this team needs an overhaul and we have treaded water for so long now that we are now (on merit) behind the likes of Boro, Ipswich, Derby and Burnley. It hurts, but with the right attitude, cheques signed off and infrastructure we will kick on.

I guess we have to believe that there is someone out there who would be more worthy custodians.

For me they don't have to be rich but have the means and the acumen to run us well and secure our future and we can build from that. But more importantly they must care about the future of our proud historic Club and be in it for the long run.

I personnaly don't need guaranteed success to follow Rovers, but I do need to feel the Club has its heart back, is part of the community and is connected to the supporters, and its history. If we can achieve these things, it won't matter, we'll win and loose together.

THATS what I miss most.
