Does anyone recall the 'it wasn't meant to be like this'(or words to that effect) comment in the LET from Howard Walker twelve months or so after the takeover?.

Strange and still baffles me.

Venkys bought Rovers under the understanding they would use the club as an advertising Vehicle to sell their Chicken Products to a UK market...nothing more,nothing less.

The general welfare and best interests of BRFC have always come second.

Venkys should NOT have been allowed to within a Million Miles of this Club.

Probably with a few extra unofficial investors on board with a plan as well

Personally don't remember but would love for someone to elaborate on what was said.

He soon disappeared after those comments. Used to go into Walkersteel regularly in the years leading up to the takeover but changed jobs about 12 months before. I'd have asked him some serious questions on the odd occasions he was sat at his desk, although I'd probably have been banned off site pretty quick !
