It was in incredibly poor taste TJ, I got rid of the replies as they were collateral.

Calling me 'over-zealous' and using insults towards other posters doesn't usually end well either, so I'd cease it if I were you.....

DidPeople reort the post that you claim was in poor taste or is it just your sole biased abby loving opinion

Nope- I hid it before I'd even seen there were any replies......No bias from me. Last warning from me though on those suggestions, TJ.

If only there was a rule to respect the decisions of moderators/administrators!

Respect is a two way Street, also its not "mods/admin" plural, its just you thats being over zealous.

And your responce is to threaten bans, you cant even handle a little criticism.

No doubt you'll delete this, ban me and it will apear as if nothing was said.

That was the rule I was talking about TJ. Not being over-zealous, it was in poor taste so it was hidden.

Nope, I can handle criticism, indeed it isn't the first time I've received any, but I'll accept it when it's justified, but unfortunately, you're way off.

Posters will only be banned when they do something worthy of a ban.

It wasn't i really in that poor taste imo, far worst things are said on here on a daily basis, it wasnt untill abby stepped in and twisted it that it was deleted.

If people had complained(other than abby) id be ok with it being deleted, i believe most people would have got the sentiment that i was intending with the post, but now we'll never know, you're pandring to the cheap seats.

I know the angle you were coming from and agree there is a difference but it could still be took the wrong way.

No conspiracy, no bias.

The Centenary of the Battle of Somme, sometimes we don't remember just how difficult that war was.

A small dominion, Newfoundland – now part of Canada – suffered 90 per cent losses to their 2,000 strong force on the opening day of the battle.

This was equivalent to one in ten people from the entire dominion - or one in five men.

Several British "pals battalions" - units made up of people all from the same local areas - suffered losses that were devastating for their communities at home - including the Lancashire town of Accrington which lost 303 men on the first day of the offensive.

Read more about how Accrington suffered here.

I see lazy arsed teachers are on strike again. I have an arm round anyone striking however instead of spoiling children's education why not strike during the 6 week ( I'd kill for 6 weeks off) summer break ? Or even last day of term

Isn't the point of a strike to cause disruption or to somehow show how vital the service is?

Aye it is .. But when it effects children's education then it's wrong , imagine publicity if they picketed during the hols.

I don't know enough about why they are unhappy to comment, but teachers striking during school summer holidays would seem about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike to me?

(Don't disagree that its the kids that lose out btw)

They should all go on strike every year for the last 2 weeks of the school year. Then parents could get cheaper holidays and no threats of fines ;)

Kids don't give 2 hoots for a day or two, it's us parents that have to make other arrangements or take a day off that's a right royal PITA. And then for teachers to turn around and say children taking any time off school is detrimental is just obnoxious.

Kids would be fully encouraging regular strike action I'm sure ha ha.

If teachers where treat with respect, where allowed to do their jobs how they see fit and paid better then the real pay of would be on the improved work that they could do with the kids in the classroom. But no they're treat like common plebs by the government with schools being run by career minded bean counters, so they're left with no choice but to protest.

'protesteing/strike action outside of work hours' surely that got to be one of the dumbest things ever said on here!😵

Maybe you could get one of the striking teachers to help you with your grammar and spelling T.J.
