Yep! Who could ever trust Gove now after his cynical backstabbing of his colleague Boris Johnson.

Boris appears to have recovered well and who would bet against him making another attempt at the party leadership in the future.

I must admit, I'd have loved to see the expression on Gove's face this morning when he received his marching orders and found out Johnson was being welcomed back into the fold!

French foreign minister starts of his relationship with Johnson by insulting him. Puts some perspective on the whole thing really doesn't it. Boris is offensive because he makes accidental gaffes, certain allies are offensive because they're being deliberately rude.

He is French, he was born that way

Seems like a bit of a cunning fix. Give a buffoon the job of sorting out the Brexit knowing full well he'll cock it up.

That May is a sly one. 1980's Britain here we come!!!

Except he is likely to do a good job, like he did in London.

Looks like he has made a good start if the French are booing him

This argument is bizarre in the extreme. How many people are killed globally by tampering with gas lines? When the army drive in to battle do they think "I've got a great way of effciently killing people. Lets tamper with their gas lines!". How is that example in anyway comparable to the people killed with firearms? It is a simple step of logic to deduce availability of guns makes it hugely easier to kill people. That's why people who want to kill people - legally or illegally - tend to buy them. Just have a think about the contortions you are going through to defend your position. It's not sane.

This horrific data indicates he and you couldn't be more wrong sadly. There is an obvious correlation between the number of guns, the lack of gun control and the number of mass shootings - can't you see this?

So I should disarm to be safer? Not happening.

If this coup fails then Turkey is going to be just awful, the fallout will be horrific

Seems people are taking to the streets to fight them and not sure the military will want to fire on civilians too much

There seems to be a hell of a lot of gunfire on the Bosphurus bridge, watching BBC world news and they are blocking the sound, but other live feeds via the web sound is on.

Reported 17 dead after helicopter attack on Turkish special forces HQ

Do we want the coup to succeed or fail? What do the people of Turkey want to happen?

Shows how far from reason out society has fallen that that's even a question. This f'ing c*** forced the democratically elected prime minister out of power because he was moderate. He created a climate where people were assaulted with weapons in Istanbul for listening to music, he told Turkish women they were traitors for using contraception.

I mean seriously? Is this the shameful blind spot in western liberals rearing its ignorant head here or what? It seriously p***** me off that it's even up for debate who we want to win. More than that it worries me. These precious civilians opposing the army are the same rent-a-mob scum breed who sheltered a Paris attacker for 6 months in Belgium.

The Turkish army is about to impose a right wing junta regime run by the military and an important buffer state is heading for civil war and it's all the fault of western liberals. Well blow me down, why didn't AJP Taylor think of that one ?

So from what I know, it's unclear who is running the coup, and how much of the military is taking part / not opposing the coup.

Surely that's the first question.

As for the tirade about the right wing forcing out the moderate....and it being the left wing fault. I'm sorry but I that doesn't make any sense to me.
