Thank god the pragmatists/realists won 2 recent battles in this country. Firstly in re-electing the Conservatives to prevent Milliband echoing Merkel's rolling out the welcome mat approach. And secondly in getting the hell out of a continent that will see bloodshed on the streets get worse and worse and worse.

All the "ignorant racists" and "heartless Tories" out there have kept us all relatively safe for the next few years. Plenty more battles to come though, the next objective should be to decimate net immigration figures.

Who needs Ed Miliband when you have Theresa May as home secretary for 6 years utterly failing in the Tories' stated objective to cut immigration to the "tens of thousands". Under May immigration rose to unprecedented levels - good news for this country's economy which needs the workers and good news for all this who welcome integration and aren't xenophobic and rather enjoy engaging with "johnny foreigners".

May is destined to fail as prime minister - after all, in her 6 years in the Home Office she achieved precisly nothing apart from picking a fight with the police.

This is exactly why I disagreed with you about this on the Rant thread. Every time I hear about adults playing with pokemon, or gay marriage, or a female PM, or people dressing up as video game characters at comicon, or getting drunk, going to music festivals, anything else people want to do, I think brilliant. Another middle finger to the dominant ultra-conservative force in the world at the moment, hardline Islam (or probably just Islam to be honest).

A while back a bunch of students in Iran were arrested for dancing in the street filming their own version of Happy by Pharrell. Its utterly pathetic and is arguably the heart of the whole conflict which unfortunately I think will consume the planet for centuries to come. Boring, stick-in-the-mud losers with massive insecurity issues trying to force others, violently if necessary, to be like them. Its the exact conflict that the people of western countries won over the last 500 years, and thanks to mass immigration we might end up needing to fight it all over again.
