Killing a dog for being a certain breed is a lot like killing people just for being Jewish imo.

It may be a tasteless comparison (even I think so), but I believe it to be an appropriate one. Punish the dogs (the owners moreso) that do bad things, not the ones that are just existing but we're born with the 'wrong look'.

Ignoring for a second your opinion that we should wait until dogs mutilate or kill before doing anything, this is quite appalling. Comparing Jews to dangerous dogs?

I'm not keen on Chris Evans but his name has been tarnished without any proof. Same thing happened to Cliff Richard but the accusers names are never disclosed. It is ridiculous that the newspapers should be allowed to disclose their names until they have been found guilty. A couple of Coronation Street actors missed out on a year's salary because of sex accusations. The accusers should be made to compensate them when their cases are not proven. It would stop the attention seekers from making money out of selling their stories to the press.

This upset me today, a dog is to be killed for doing nothing wrong but being a certain breed. Last week there was a Facebook post about a microchipped, family dog being killed by police because someone reported it for 'looking like a pitbull-type'.

Just like killing people for having a certain skin colour, to my mind. It's ok to apply Hitler's ideology to dogs.

"Muslim leaders in Normandy have refused to bury one of the church attackers who murdered a priest during morning mass.

Convicted terrorist Adel Kermiche, 19, and Abdelmalik Petitjean took hostages when they stormed Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray church before being shot dead by police.

Now, one prominent Muslim leader from the town has refused to bury Kermiche in order not to "taint" Islam.

Speaking to La Parisien, Mohammed Karabila, imam and president of the local Muslim cultural association, said Muslims would not take part in Kermiche's burial - even if requested by his family.

"We won't participate in preparing the body or the burial", he said.

Khalid El Amrani, a 25-year-old local Muslim, said it was "normal" that they did not want to participate in the burial.

"What this young man did was sinful; he is no longer part of the community", he said of Kermiche, who grew up on an estate in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.

According to Islamic tradition, Muslim burials should take place as soon as possible after death and be organised by the local Islamic community.

Meanwhile, the funeral of slain priest Father Hamel is set to take place on Tuesday afternoon.

He will not be buried in his local St Etienne, however, but at Rouen Cathedral, according to a church diocese statement."

Good on the community leaders.

It's about time the Muslim community started to actively treat these creatures with the public distain that they deserve rather than just verbally distancing themselves. If they truly believe these scum do not represent their religion (this community clearly does believe it) then these jihadis shouldn't get any of their religious rights. Especially as they claim to be fighting on behalf of Islam.

Get down the local farm chuck these fellas into the pig pen and in feeding the pigs maybe they can be of some use.

I'm actually comparing Jews to completely innocent dogs, which formed my entire point. Don't put words in my mouth.

Would you kill a person for doing literally nothing but being alive? If not, why do it to a dog?

Rather than 'mutilate or kill' I'd say punish them for anything from a bite upwards, as well as punishing the owner.

It's becoming part of the Yorkshire Dales, not Yorkshire. Parts of Cumbria have been in the Dales for years but the people who live there are still Cumbrian.

Just get irritated by the anti-Scouser jibes that all too often seem to crop up. The number of crimes per 1,000 people in Liverpool is 96, in Manchester it's 117.5. Yet I rarely hear an oft-repeated joke about Mancunians being criminals and an undesirable addition to Lancashire.

Just speculating whether it's got anything to do with Merseyside being 95% white in comparison to Greater Manchester at 84%. I'm sure everyone's aware that modern comedians will only target certain demographics, which I think is part of a wider consensus about which parts of society its safe to insult. I dunno, might be barking up the wrong tree.

I think the derogatory part of the idea of the scouser, is really from the early 80's. Do you have the relative crime numbers from that point in time? That may help? It probably wasn't helped by the politics of that period, mass unemployment and even the tv series Bread?
