Yeah, that's the trouble with this democracy lark. People have a habit of electing representatives who's views you don't share. Happens to me all the time. Maybe they should appoint a new electorate.

Amazing how liberals have demonised for decades anyone the slightest, slightest bit accused of racism. Now that its minorities being openly racist and intolerant, its simply a disagreement and none of you (except K-Hod) wanna know.

Left wing extremism certainly shows on this forum. If the dog had pups it would be the fault of the Tory Government.

I'd hardly say it was extreme! There probably is more of a 'left-leaning' presence though.

I would hardly say Jim was left leaning. He's left of Castro. Same goes for others to a lesser extent.

Oh aye, I meant as a general point really. Those more inclined to lean left (i.e. myself), are far closer to the centre if anything than the left/right.

A quote from Malia Bouattia in todays paper - " For me to take issue with Zionist politics is not me taking an issue with being Jewish ..... It is a political argument, not one of faith "

Sounds OK to me.

What is worrying is the quote from Daniel Clemens, president of Birmingham J- Soc ( I presume this is a University Jewish Society ). He said " When someone attacks Zionism they're indirectly attacking Judaism as a religion because the two go hand in hand ".

Now that is very worrying and smacks of the type of rhetoric extreme Muslims use to attack their critics and to close down any discussion regarding the Koran and Islam. Being perturbed by the actions of the Zionists in the Middle East does not make you Anti- Semitic.

It's free country. My dad did six years in the Royal Tank Regiment in North Africa and up through Italy to keep it that way.

My dad trundled bailey bridges all over Europe too and I wouldn't want to change what he fought for which is why I want out of Europe and a stop on immigration.

To be honest with the students of this country electing as their leader a burgeoning Hitler who thinks there's a worldwide media Zionist conspiracy going on, yet won't criticise Islamic State unless the wording detaches all links of it to Islam, what all our relatives fought for is on the verge of being disposed of.

Daft comments such as the above show how far to the right politics in this country have gone. The free market neo-liberal project that has dominated the political landscape for the past 35 years has now become the so-called "centre ground" such that a mild Scandinavian-type social democrat like Jeremy Corbyn is portrayed as "extremist" in the right wing media. There is nothing more extreme than the actions of this govt and its predecessor coalition govt in its 6-year attack on the poorest and weakest in society.

It's not a daft comment at all. It's perfectly true. Have a look a t yourself Jim. Your views are certainly bordering on communist. Soak the rich and give to the non workers seems to be your philosophy.

Why aim the comments at his personality rather than the points made?

The NHS, education, police, social services and many other public necessities have been absolutely decimated in the past 6 years. I know some may have a different experience, I certainly have seen some great teaching still despite the means testing and budget constraints.

There is certainly some truth in "baggy" services, quangos etc but the level they've stretched to with austerity is hurting the general public.

If you can't see it - try talking to people in and around the borough this team is from! Struggling would be the word to describe it.

Here you go sticking your beak in again. My comments were about Jim's political leanings not his personality or his points made. Your post is out of context, out of order and sod all to do with you.

Again. Ignore the post for a pop at the poster. It's the sign of when discussion can't be answered with a realistic alternative view.

As for me sticking my beak in. It's a public forum, just like my posts - any bodies content can be discussed.

A bit like you earlier today on the other thread

Which is precisely what you did in your post. You are an interfering hippocrite

Not sure what that is, is it a part of the hippopotamus amphibius family? Keep having a pop if you must, it just highlights the lack of genuine discussion you can bring.

I've not had a pop at anyone, but if you are referring to sticking beak in - it's a public forum.

If you are going to dominate threads by starting arguments, expect others to find it a little embarrassing!

Now you are having a go at me for a very rare spelling error. I do not make many. Incidentally it is "amphibious" not "amphibius".

My original post was purely a comment about Jim's political leanings only but you chose to have a pop about me talking about his personality which I never did, nor did I mention the NHS etc. which you went on to bleat about. I believe (and others have also said it) that you just post to provoke arguments and unfortunately I bit.

You are having a personal pop at "communist" left wing extremists on here- of which there are none. Similar to how you described anyone outraged by the Cameron family tax dodge as "jealous".

Jim makes an acceptable reply about how the right paints someone like Corbyn as an extremist - to suit their scaremongery, no personal pops, after your next reply I point out a few things that come to mind when I read that kind of diatribe, and it's just a post to antagonise?

Nope. It's an opinion.

Formed from reading such articles as;

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/apr/23/cabinet-ministers-councils-least-hit-budget-cuts

I thought the spelling jibe was light hearted but perhaps humour is wasted on this message board, and amphibius is the Latin spelling.

Nothing personal about political leanings unless you want to start an argument as you do.

Nice try Joe but just admit that you had a go at my spelling but made one yourself.

Nice post yoda. :xmas:
