adopted scouser Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 I can't figure out what is worse, Corbyn being pally with the likes of Hamas and Hezbollah (and the implications affecting a growing number of radicals in this country), or the sight of that champagne socialist slug Diane Abbott on the front bench. Or the the thought of Corbyn hanging out of that slug years ago.

Listen to the Manics' 30-Year War and wonder why you voted for that lot.
Gav Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Cameron was a disgrace in PMQs today. There is no level he will not stoop to. Absolutely disgusting, he thinks he's untouchable the smug tory ****. Spends most PM'qs insulting Corbyn, it crosses the line for me.
Gav Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Jeremy Hunt playing with his phone during a debate about NHS nurses bursaries, can he appear less interested in the NHS if he tried?! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/05/04/john-bercow-tells-mps-off-for-fiddling-ostentatiously-with-their/
jim mk2 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 He's only interested in breaking it up and selling it off to his party's friends in the private sector. Another term of this lot and it could happen. Next centuries-old public insititution up for the private pirates is the Land Registry.
Al Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 OK Jim and GAV what did Cameron do wrong? Your childish knocking of anything Conservative is becoming laughable whilst the Labour party is in complete disarray. Better look there before you knock the PM.

Cameron was an absolute disgrace, asked about local government funding his reply was about Hamas! Hunt was b0llocked for using his phone during a debate on the NHS, is that right? Wake up man.

Take a look at him and his struggling to hold his own in the commons with his with his whole party in complete disarray. Wake up man!

Take a look at him and his struggling to hold his own in the commons with his with his whole party in complete disarray. Wake up man! Regardless of whether or not Corbyn is good or bad leader of the opposition, the current Prime Minister and Health Secretary are a disgrace for their behavior yesterday, just a complete lack of respect for the people that voted them in, they think they're above reproach, typical Tory attitude.

Didn't see it but if you are going to pick on the Tories take a look at the alternatives and have a go at them too. How badly have they handled the anti Semitism stuff? In my mind that was a storm in a teacup. He only quoted historical fact but they have allowed the media to have a birthday. They should have ignored it and it would have gone away. That's what I call disgraceful.

And this, without even having seen the incident being referred to? Kind of calls into question the partiality and credibility of your opinions Al.

They are while Labour is in dis array, That is the real failing of the Labour party
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Cameron probably did go too far, but the problem was created by Labour and their continuing failure to sort out the anti-Semitic problem. You honestly think that if this was the Tories having this scandal that Labour and Corbyn wouldn't mention it at PMQs? If Labour don't like it it's simple, sort it out and not give the Conservatives ammunition to use against you.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 5, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted May 5, 2016 Didn't see it but if you are going to pick on the Tories take a look at the alternatives and have a go at them too. They should have ignored it and it would have gone away. That's what I call disgraceful. I have to agree with this Al. It's been handled embarrassingly, when it should have been nipped in the bud early days and dealt with privately. Livingstone made himself look like an utter idiot, and the whole thing seems like a cynical plot to undermine Corbyn's leadership. It's obvious he isn't everyone's cup of tea (mine neither), but if folk don't agree with him, they should leave the party instead of behaving like spoilt children and stamping their feet. The timing really couldn't be worse either. You can't help those that won't help themselves.....
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics made an interesting point that perhaps the Conservatives have some private polling or focus group data that shows that the anti-Semitic tag associated with Labour is resonating with the public. It would explain Cameron's brutal attack on Corbyn.

The right wing of the Labour Party are still sulking that they've been found out. Their faces when the result was announced told you all you need to know. They're behind most of this @#/? stirring. They've hoping for todays results to be poor. They think if they can oust Corbyn normal service will be resumed. They need to think again. The grass roots Labour movement has changed in the last year and it won't look kindly on people who are more concerned with holding on to their positions than actually fighting for their constituents.

The PLP is so against him is because they believe that Corbyn's vision and that of the grass roots just isn't electable and honestly they are correct. You can only influence things and change things if you are in government. Labour party members may feel better that their party is trying to go back to more traditional values and beliefs but the truth is when you are in opposition you can't do diddly squat.

I agree with this. Labour need to do what the tories did, - say what the electorate wants to hear, then do exactly what they want afterwards. Isn't that how politics work? It's not about what's right or best for everyone, it's about doing your best for the people you represent.
Baz Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I don't think anyone could argue the BBC is in any way right wing. What are you banging on about? Certainly to the left of any other major news outlet in the UK apart from the Guardian and Mirror. I think the BBCs political stance is increasingly right-wing, Dimbleby particularly. Andrew Neill being the best of a poor bunch at present.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I think the BBCs political stance is increasingly right-wing, Dimbleby particularly. Andrew Neill being the best of a poor bunch at present. Yeah the BBC have been running scared since the Tories gave them the hard word after the election. They were craven enough before, now they've @#/? scared. The PLP is so against him is because they believe that Corbyn's vision and that of the grass roots just isn't electable and honestly they are correct. As long as the right wing call the tune they do diddly squat in power also. Unless you think getting involved in foreign wars a move in the right direction.

None of the current Tory policies on tax, schools and a myriad of others were mentioned in the election manifesto.

ultrablue Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Those rulings seem to be dated 10 years ago (although thwy belong centuries in the past). Its strange the Telegraph should report on them now
