I see Osbourne's " March Of The Makers " is going well. Manufacturing on the slide again. This lot don't even know what manufacturing means any more. Lawyers, Spin doctors, Hedge fund jockeys, how many of them have ever made anything in there lives ?

"March of the Makers" just like "Northern Powerhouse" is just a silly election tag used by Osborne to con less intelligent northerners into voting Conservative. On another note the BBC White Paper will see the world's best public service broadcaster coming under increasing control of the government - in accordance with the wishes of the govt's paymaster Rupert Murdoch. Whittingdale is in for a big fight over this - even sensible Tory MPs are against it. I feel U-turn No 10 coming on.

And those constant snide insults (1-2 per post I'd say on average) is the reason people, or at least I, get personal with Jim just for the record Baz the next time you want to put your mod hat on.

As my mum says - 'If the cap fits, wear it ".

There's nothing more stupid than having a default assumption that someone else is stupid because they don't agree with you. Only the truly dense have such an inability to question their own opinion and an inflated, utterly groundless certainty as to the value of it.

Check out the Dunning-Kruger effect sometime. I know jim won't, or he'll e-mail them to tell them they're so stupid that they've been conned by the media into coming up with it.

Opinion based on observation and listening and talking to people. But if you recognise yourself in that statement I wouldn't disagree with you.

Moving on, it's laughable to see the government rowing back today on its proposals for reform of the BBC with the increasingly isolated Whittingdale forced to water down the more right wing dogmatic parts of his proposals. I sense yet another U-turn in the offing, which makes 11 or more since last year's election.

I admit not everybody who votes Tory is stupid. Some vote Tory because they are greedy, selfish, avaricious, uncaring about their fellow men etc.

If we are discussing "stupid", that is probably the most stupid post I have ever read on here. You have managed to out Jim, Jim. I really hope for your sake that that was tongue in cheek and not meant to be taken seriously.

Please run for election someday. I imagine there's a line past which someone becomes too obnoxious and dislikeable to persuade anyone of anything who doesn't already agree with him. To use a friends quote, you are so far past that line that to you that line is a dot.

It'd be far more damaging (and therefore comical) to Labour's chances were you to thoroughly irritate and alienate a large number of voters rather than just the fast dwindling number of posters who would ever engage in the depressing activity of debating something serious with you on here.

Heck if Corbyn can manage it, why can't you. Unless you're already anticipating the hate mail and flying eggs.

Your obsession with me is bad for your health. Play the ball not the man and you'll fell alot better..

Interesting story floating about today.

Conservative MPs are fearful that a simmering row over alleged breaches of election spending rules relating to their battle buses could lead to up to 30 of them being thrown out of parliament or even sent to jail !

In these dark football days there's always a chink of light.

Stupid in your opinion. In other industries the policies would fly through and any opposition would be crushed. As a public sector worker (which I assume you are), you should rejoice at the power you all have in forcing your boss (the government) to do a U-turn. Its power nobody in the private sector has had for decades. Today a woman at PWC got sent home for not wearing high heels, and you think you're treated badly!

No I don't work in the public sector.....

But you never addressed the original point as to how these harebrained schemes actually see the light of day!

You'd think an Eton education would help, obviously not....

The Tories refused to hand over the documents to the electoral commission so got taken to the high court in order to comply, which in itself is a disgrace.

That's 3 out of how many?

3 they've caught. What about the rest that they haven't caught yet? Boot them out and don't let any more in.

You (and Jim) are obsessed. I really couldn't be bothered to pore through the press and internet to search for anything you can find, or spin, to knock the party you hate. It seems to be all you do these days. Get a life.

By the way "Gav" doesn't have half the authority that "GAV" did. I would change it back if I were you.

'The rest they haven't caught yet?' There are plenty of indigenous criminals as well...For the record any immigrant found guilty of a crime should be jailed then deported as far as I'm concerned.

Mainly the immigrant community. The people born here we have no choice but to deal with. Immigrants are a self inflicted problem. I'm with you on your last sentence.

Sorry if I came across a little snappy mate, I've not had enough caffeine yet! I've seen a lot more of that happening in recent cases lately as it happens. It's about time!

I watch quite a bit of politics on the TV, nothing more, don't read much in the papers either to be honest.

Like I said in my previous post, that's a noticeable facet of intelligence (or lack there of). Having a one-dimensional hate campaign against the opposition simply because they are the opposition points to a fundamental inability to question one's own opinion and a phenomenally grandiose view that your opinion is definitively correct.

Its a common trait amongst the extreme lefties on this board (noticeably absent amongst the likes of k-hod and mike) to insert all arguments into an atmosphere of huge scorn leading to patronising and a (I should say massively) misplaced air of intellectual superiority.

Must be a shame being so goddamn clever and losing the last 2 elections by an increasing margin. Sorry did I say a shame, I meant bloody brilliant, try not being so self-congratulating and superior if you ever wanna get in again lads.
