JAL Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Rant of the day in my home town is seeing several flagstones on Church Street in front of the Old little Bull pub now a gambling shop replaced by tarmac instead of flagstones. Looks unsightly and cheap !

Audax Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I see now, exercise places are springing up per being for rock climbing and the place is always fairly busy it looks like. Maybe I'll try it some time. Walls and harnesses like this.
adopted scouser Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I haven't really been a fan of Craig Charles before but this week has been so refreshing, light comments and anecdotes and no talking or 'singing' over the records. No self congratulation, no twatty sycophants hugging the coat tails of their Hutt like gravy train. If anyone associated with Steamy @#/? in the afternoon reads this, please don't come back. Take the money and open a @#/? pie shop in Rome Italy, or Berlin Germany, or Paris France, or Madrid Spain.

He has always been good when standing in, plays some great music that you don't normally hear as well.

That's why I believe 'liberal' to something of a misnomer in modern society. There's nothing liberal about stifling opinions that don't conform to the status quo.

jim mk2 Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 More evidence of right wing political bias at the BBC today with Laura Kuenssberg, the BBC’s political editor, at the centre of a row with Jeremy Corbyn after a report found that News at Six breached impartiality guidelines in her report about the Labour leader’s views on shoot-to-kill. A leaked copy of provisional findings by the BBC Trust said that there had been a “failure of impartiality” during Kuenssberg’s report after the terrorist attacks in Paris. Kuenssberg, a known Conservative supporter, has been in trouble with the regulator before for bias in her political reporting and follows in a long line of right wing poliitcal correspondents at the Tory-supporting BBC. Andrew Neil, Nick Robinson, David Dimbleby, James Lansdale and others all have connections with the Tory party.
Baz Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 The lack of coverage on the BBC of the Red Cross having to step in and help out the NHS crisis, the lack of coverage of the government trying to redraw it's own 4 hour A&E target, and continued reporting of the PMs extra few million for mental health care (a drop in the ocean), the massive cuts to local council social care budgets, and the refusal of the government to discuss these issues in parliament, at a time when corporate taxation is once again being lowered. All evidence either the BBC is biased or totally incompetent. As for Jim's list of tory influenced journos - Andrew Neill stands out as by far the best, and least biased at present - perhaps why he's shunted onto late night tv.

The Red Cross has helped out the NHS in the winter for at least the last 40 years
