Is that allowed in the rules?

well thats what qpr are challenging via the courts, it should not show as a debt on its books as its to be repaid, therefore they are not within ffp and can carry on.

The reality probably is that if qpr make it back to the prem, the board will probably allow a windfall payment back to the chairman thats similar to the amount given as a gift.... its all about how you cook the books.

It never felt like what? With Hull Rhodes was gone, Bowyer and Shaw had accepted the bid and it was eventually decided by Balaji that he wouldn't be sold. This time it's a load of BS rumours coming from the sun that Middlesbrough, a team in the same division as us are going to splash out £14m on a player, when they shouldn't be able to under FFP. We haven't even accepted a bid so I don't see why you're getting your knickers in a twist

I didn't realise we had accepted a bid from hull. .I just thought venkys said no sale ...

This one just feels different to me thSt's all..

Im not sure delaying sanctions is achieving much Kamy. How much money have they brought in from player sales and how much of their losses are allowable losses? Again - we lost an absolute fortune. We were miles above the FFP threshold.

It depends on the players purchased. If one spends 50 million on a solid squad, one which would be around for at least a few seasons and perform at a high level, after the fact FFP restrictions probably won't effect the team all that much and there would be plenty of time to get the club into compliance.

Spend 50+ million on those looking for a last pay day, with horrible attitudes and unexceptional performance, then the club would be in serious trouble.

Imagine if Venkys had kept John Williams and Sam, and handed them 50+ million. I think they would have had us challenging for the Champions League, as the owners previously referenced was the goal.

Water under the bridge now, bu there was a real chance of reviving the glory days with JW and Sam. Still is, it'll just take a bit longer and a bit more work.

I can acknowledge that b*rnly are a well run club but I won't hold them up as a 'fine example' of anything unless it's as a bunch of inbred @#/?.

For more than 15 years we were a well run club as well, before the looneys rocked up. But a distant memory now

Owners should be allowed to put money in and take money out of THEIR club!

It is astonishing that only in football is that forbidden! 😒

To be honest I think in principal FFP is a very good thing. Too many numpties - I am including Venkys - who don't know what they are doing and saddling clubs with totally unacceptable debt.

It does need to be applied in a fair and effective way however. Currently it is a garce.

We also need some sort of smart rule changes to address the ridiculous gulfs widening between Championship and Premier League. What Middleborough are doing - effectively gambling their future -is symptomatic of the huge rewards available in the prem.

Clubs will over stretch and fold.

SSN saying rovers rejected boro bid of 12M . they dont want to sell to club in same div but a bid from a prem club may be accepted.

For all the apparent abuse and critics they receive, the Venky's don't half do well over transfers.

That's a bit like consoling yourself because you found a useable lightswitch in the carcass of your burnt out dream home.

And it's hearsay.

As far the U21 lad - was out of contract and 'vulnerable' and I believe his potential had been noted by at least 1 PL club. Has now signed another contract with Rovers but if his development continues at the rate of knots it has so far, would be no surprise to see someone make a move for him.

So exactly the opposite outcome to the one you said was imminent and demonstrated the utter incompetence in the Academy. Now it appears he has signed a new contract with people who will develop him to the point a top club will swoop for him.

Anyway, back to Venky's accepting 10 million combined for Jordan and Rudy to recoup some of the 15 million they just injected as share capital...
