West Yorks Rover Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie must know the situation surely. You would have thought so, maybe he's just looking for a bit of pre-season training ?
patrickvalery Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I hate to bring it up again. But there's a definite nickname issue there. Guthers maybe decent get out. The Guthmiester is another possibility. I'll be honest,it's another hindrance when you add it on top of the embargo.

yoda's brother Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 What about the sky bet transfer fund, plus £50k donation from the Telegraph? thought derby had "won" that ?

Dunnfc Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We all know it will be Guthy or DG! Didn't his family hail from Formby? Perhaps a move designed to be closer to home in that case.
broadsword Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Danny-eeee Guthrie-eeeee. Also known as DG-eeeee
The Rover of Finland Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I see Guthrie is on bench today. I was thinking Guthrie would get a straight deal somewhere. He used to be a good player and excactly what we lack in the middle.
Iceman Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie will score, do well and after 1 trial game told we won't sign him. Good little player, but a concern as I'm going to guess he is plan B if we can't get Kim a work permit.

Good little player, but a concern as I'm going to guess he is plan B if we can't get Kim a work permit. Different type of player to Kim. We need two more attacking midfielders to replace Cairney and Dunn, so we could sign both.

I may be wrong but Kim likes to play higher than in the middle.
Iceman Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Maybe I'm wrong then, as I thought Kim was a central midfielder/winger

Backroom Tom Posted July 28, 2015 Backroom Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie and Delfounso would be decent in our situation j think
ABBEY Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie and Delfounso would be decent in our situation j thinkYou won't be able to see when your sat in the nose bleed seats
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie and Delfounso would be decent in our situation j think What is Guthrie's best position ? Is he more attacking or defensive ? Can he play in a centre-midfield 2 ?
Ricky Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I'd be happy with Guthrie. He's one I have spoken about for a long time and he would definitely add something to our midfield. That means he's not going to sign!!
chaddyrovers Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthrie is a centre midfielder player. Maybe could be a deep playmaker or box to box midfielder for us Marshall should be the player in the number 10 role IMO this coming season
pick32 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Aston villa seem to be close to signing Adebayor with him being at the training ground according to SSN Id say with him and Ayew that one less club in for Rudy.
T J Hooker Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Guthries a very good proven centre midfielder in this league, he seems to have lost his way a bit at reading though but he's still only 28 though so should still ave lots to give if he can find form, I'm surprised he'd be willing to take 10k max a week though.
roversoutsider Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Would people take Stuart Holden? Currently without a club. I know the man has legs of glass BUT if we could keep him fit, he's prem quality and would tear this league apart imo. He's desperate to get back to football as well so shouldn't cost much. Worth a look in a pay as you play deal?
Pedro Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I don't mind admitting it but two thirds of players mentioned on here I have absolutely no bloody idea who they are! On the bright side I suppose that makes me a prime candidate for Shebby's old role.

I often know the name but haven't seen enough of them to have even the remotest clue about whether they could do a job for our current team,
