You know what, I honestly couldn't care less. I thought he'd have gone last season TBh.

good luck to him if he does go, he deserves a medal for working with Shaw, Agnew, Singh and Venkys for so long.

As of earlier this evening nothing had changed. But Boro are determined to get him and Rhodes is determined to leave, I suspect that another formal offer will be in tomorrow in the absence of Mrs D talking direct Gibson, but the fact remains that until Venky's say yes nothing can happen regardless of what Rhodes want.

This reminds me of the Samba situation, the more Samba asked to leave, the more Mrs D said that he was not going to leave. They kept this up for 2 transfer windows, even after that he thought his move chance had gone before they decided to ship him off to Russia outside the transfer window.

However on one I would just let him leave. He is deeply unhappy and keeping someone against their will (regardless of what you are paying them) usually leads to problems. Boro desperately want him and I suspect their next bid will be £12 million up front.

I hope that I am, this needs resolving one way sooner rather than later, but certainly in Pune earlier this evening nothing had changed so I hope that Shelfie hasn't been negotiating without approval as that'll just lead to another rejection once it is put infront of the owners.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but does anyone know what sell-on fee Huddersfield will receive, assuming there is one?

Any news on which of the family are on the sell/not sell sides or are they all happy if the fee required is met?

Let's be honest it's no great leap to suggest he is going to leave now. Talks are clearly going to happen imminently if they haven't already.

If he is let's just get it done with soon

According to the Huddersfield Chairman it was 20% http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-chairman-reveals-20-4939123

but some other details in this article including 20% of any profit made published 23rd July http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/jordan-rhodes-transfer-deal-explained-9714425

Know what leads to even bigger problems? Having no goalscorers.

If my colleague is correct, a M'boro supporter and seemingly very much on the ball with what she's told me before, things will move very, very quickly now.

If they say no I think Rhodes is switched on enough to know sulking won't do him any good. A striker who is proven at championship level but struggles to get into a mid level international side and has a limited all round game, needs to keep banging them in to maintain an interest from other clubs. Especially if he's wanting to better a 40k pw contract.

He might be narked off right now, but he's a bright kid. I think he'd get his head down and crack on. We might lose Jordan Rhodes the club shop, shirt signing ambassador. But big deal. We can't fill the ground anyway. It's not like we're gonna lose the local hardcore. Most plastic locals buggered off ages ago anyway.

Good, let's get it over with.

Gestede next.

Mercerman, do you really see Rovers owners making decision that fast and in the middle of the night(Pune is 4 or 5 hours in front of our time) or Shaw working on Sunday? I dont,do you?

Boro will come in tomorrow and put a new bid in like Kamy says and it will be what Rovers owners want up front most probably.

But Rhodes wants to go now. (Which I wish he didnt by the way).

Let's see what tomorrow brings, but Venky's and quick doesn't usually happen.

Perth - It'll be down to Mrs Desai, last time round Balaji used his veto and Mrs D didn't push it too much. This time round the rest of them will go with whatever she decided.

Bluebruce - Don't want him to leave but things have gone to far after his interview last week and will just deteriorate as if Venky's continue to say no it'll lead to a transfer request and further instability.

Is it £12 million with add ons? And would this deal be enough to get us out of embargo?

I wonder whether we could get Kike on loan for season from Boro as part of the Rhodes deal?

That'd suit me.

Don't think it would be lifted until January anyway after the club accounts go in then they can assess the losses. Unless there is special dispensation of course but that probably wouldn't apply to Rovers anyway, they'd find a way to cluck it up.

It's definitely more than that.

Kamy - I know you don't mate, just saying, I'd rather he pull his puss a bit (as another poster pointed out, he won't stop playing his best, not in his nature or interests) than us lose all of our goals. If Rudy wasn't clearly leaving too it might be different. If we weren't in an embargo, it might be different. But in the situation we have, no way should we let him go.
