Because fans deserve to know what is happening, you know? The lifeblood of the club?

I'm quite happy for them to ignore Boro completely. Not easy for them to say he will definitively never be sold in case a decent Premiership Club come in for him at a higher price or improved terms for us.

Agreed.

FFP? The message being drummed out every day should be "What a fantastic opportunity this is for our talented youngsters to show what they can do."

I think the supporters would realise the job in hand has been made slightly more difficult.

Sadly with our manager it's more a case of, "What a fantastic opportunity this is for some random I signed from the French 3rd Division".

Said this a while ago - politicians have shown for years that you can put a positive spin on anything.

Can't believe some are still debating if he's a decent striker or not......

Well when we have Brown leading the attack I'm sure that will be answered for you....

There's some odd wage figures on that list but some seem right. The bonuses for some players must be pretty mad. I did say a while back that another reason for Bowyers rotating may be wage/contract related and he was trying to keep them all happy and a chance of their bonuses.

Browns figure could be right and that's why we ended up with him as he's cheap. It was widely thought he was injured when we signed him and he certainly seems to have some kind of recurring problem so that would explain his low basic. As for the loanees surely we only made a contribution to their Prem style Bolton contracts.

Don't see a problem with Rhodes talking to Boro. Just attach a £14mill price tag on him somewhere , and ask them to tick the deal or no deal box.

I like this. Decide on the price tag and conditions, £14m or whatever up front. Let JR talk to Boro and then it's a simple question of can Boro put their money where their mouth is.

If Boro can't match a reasonable price tag Jordan can hardly blame Rovers. Given his goal scoring record throughout his career and at Ewood it's hardly unrealistic to expect his value to have increased by at least 50% in the last three years. If it hasn't one would ask the player why?

Pretty obvious to see what the retained list is based on. ^_^

btw Some odd figures there and an illustration of how Bolton fell from grace but how the hell is Marcus Olsson on so much?

Never forget who first signed Marcus

Thought Marcus was signed during the Venky era, and after Allardyce left...so either Kean, Appleton or Berg. I think it was Kean.

Hughes signed his brother Martin.

Marcus was signed by Kean - same transfer window as Bradley Orr and that plum from France..... striker, can't remember his name now.

The one that amazed me was Josh King - no wonder he was first out the door

Modeste. Awful.

Marcus was signed by Kean to try and keep Martin happy. As a PL signing Marcus wasn't good enough, but he's a decent Championship level left-back/winger.

plus quite a lot of time on the pitch for a CF who can't scoreereas.

King and Cairney gone - both big basic earners - bodes ill for RG & JR from a fans point of view. Well at least some of us.

Can't be accurate, Robinson on £3k a week?!

£6K basic plus maybe big appearance bonus - hence not played??

We signed Robinson when he still had a big PL reputation (as did we), I just couldn't imagine his wage being anything like £6k basic.

Unless he signed a new deal in his injury ravaged period that was appearance based?

Isn't Gary in the top half/third of the longest serving managers in the entire football league?

I'd give Nigel Pearson everything i had to help us.

Gary has done a commendable job in stabilizing things but i feel hes knackered and im tired of him.

We are NOT stable.

We are hurtling towards the door marked "destruction."

Did he? Must have managed to persuade thinjuns that he was identical to his brother!

On second thought I might be doing Olsson down here because I don't at this point know what %age of Olssons wage is skimmed off to some Bank in Brunei. :glare:

Not at that money. 1k pw more than Henley if it's based on ability.

Really? Do you mean ever? Want me to go find a clip for you?

Fill your boots...but only if in return you watch my compilation of his energetic 3 inch jumps and leg collapses - I'll warn you, it's a long one.

He may very occasionally link up, or occasionally hold up, but I'd question anyone's opinion who thinks that Rudy and Jordan play off each other well, or think that he holds the ball up well and lays it off to a winger who's bombing past. Massive flaws in their game.

Personal choice but I love a front two who bring each other into play and knacker out a CB - like Yorke and Cole, Shearer and Sutton...even Roberts and Benni linked up really well together.
