PallyPark Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Thanks for posting the info How much is Kike on per week? What type of striker is he? He is the Striker most likely not to play if Rhodes signs for you. So why not join Rovers. I can't see Kike being on more than 10k either as he came from the Spanish second division. He is a strange one in truth. He has no pace, passing is poor and his finishing is nothing short of dreadful. He is very strong and likes to bring everything played to him down on his chest and lay it off (everything is played to him chest height as his first touch is awful). He also enjoys a sulk. But, he's liked by most fans, even though they won't admit it, because he's very passionate. He celebrates every goal like it was scored in the World Cup final and he gives It his all. Won't score double figures in the champ

pk1875 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Pally do you think Boro can afford £12-£14 million plus £40k a week wages? If so would you want them to fork out that kind of money?
PallyPark Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Pally do you think Boro can afford £12-£14 million plus £40k a week wages? If so would you want them to fork out that kind of money? No and no in truth. lots of fans scratching their heads at how we could finance the Downing deal? It would seem to be amiracle worked by Gibbo. I don't see any way in which we could scrape that type of money together (£14m). I would be very nervous if we did put that much into one transfer, however if you want goals then that's the type of deal you need to do I suppose.
Amo Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Kevin Gallacher's take on the situation http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/blackburn-rovers/news/gallacher-rhodes-should-wait-for-pl-move_236046.html Rhodes could be waiting a long time for a Premier League club to come a callin'. The whole point of him wanting to join 'Boro is because he believes he stands more chance of going up with them than he would on the S.S. Sinking Ship, and on the face of it few could argue with that.
Stuart Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Don't think there's a pedestal, Middlesbrough are just being snidey, underhand, arrogant @#/? about the transfer of a player they want to buy. I'm more annoyed that the same rules preventing us paying a £300k loan fee are allowing Boro to spend £12-14m. Meanwhile Fulham, Derby and others must be cocking themselves.

I honestly think that you could put in £14m, and Venkys still wouldn't accept it. I think they've already made their mind up, especially with you being seen as a promotion contender (in their eyes, not ours). As history tells us, once our owners have made their mind up, they don't change their mind. You could probably offer £20m and they still wouldn't bat an eyelid!Even if Jordan has thrown his toys out the pram, I can't see them caring one bit. Maybe they understand the implications of selling someone great, and being unable to replace him? Long may it continue until the window closes!
roverandout Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Pallypark, who is your most reliable itk'er on oneboro?
PallyPark Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Pallypark, who is your most reliable itk'er on oneboro? Don't use One Boro. The better forum is FMTTM. The most accurate so far has been a guy on Twitter called BL Sports, he seems to of been ahead of the game this pre season.
thenodrog Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Even if he didn't put the effort in he would still score goals, in fact him being lazy and hanging around the box would probably end up better for us But that's what he does!
scotchrover Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Looks like GB is at the Boro game tonight Don't do it Gary!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Also from Kamy Those asking why JR wants to leave. Last year he was happy to stay even with PL interest because there was a realistic chance of promotion. This year we are under embargo, selling our better players and he feels that there is no longer a realistic chance of rovers getting top 6. Telling it like it is springs to mind...
thenodrog Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Looks like GB is at the Boro game tonight Completely irrelevant. It's the venkymob that make the decisions. btw that was for PallyParks benefit more than yours pk.
Rover_Shaun Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Mrs D's Facebook feed on the phone? Or the random formation selecta app?
Stuart Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Must be a player exchange or loanee in the offing. Bye Jordan, thanks for saving us from League One on your own in that first season. Thanks for all the goals that we are now going to have to survive without. I don't blame you for wanting to get away from Venkys and their yes men. As much as it hurts I partly hope you do get promoted as it will show a few people and also show that a proper manager can get the best out of you by proving the 'nil' at the other end of the score sheet. If you don't get up this season with Boro I'll still be pleased though. Although when Boro don't, and still weasel out of FFP sanctions, our lot still won't have the spine or desire to challenge it.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Why unsettle OUR player when you can't/don't want to pay the asking price? Bad show from Gibson.

PallyPark Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Why unsettle OUR player when you can't/don't want to pay the asking price? Bad show from Gibson. Has Gibson unsettled him? Karanka spoke about Rhodes which wasn't clever, but that was after Rhodes had already spoke out to ESPN. I know little about Rhodes so I mean this question in a genuine way, could he not of said the things he said without any prompt or 'tapping up' from anybody at MFC?

I just think he is as disillusioned as we are about the club now and desperately wants out, he will speak up if it helps him get a move
PallyPark Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Deliberately pissing around over the payment structure? You either show us the money or dont bother. Why shouldn't he try his hardest to get the best deal for his club? That's how pretty much every negotiation works. Hence the word negotiation. If it can't be done then Gibson will walk away. If Rhodes chooses to pay close attention to the negotiations then that is surely down to Rhodes and nobody else?
thenodrog Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I just think he is as disillusioned as we are about the club now and desperately wants out, he will speak up if it helps him get a move His cost and wages contribute significantly to our FFP embargo and you reckon he is disillusioned by it all!!! Your having a laugh?
