Gav Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Daily Star saying Boro looking to come back in at 12m with 2m in add on's if they go up. Gibson, like Jack doesn't like to lose out on a player, could have some legs.
Ricky Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 If they offer £12m up front I think they'll get him. I would imagine we've set the wheels in motion to replace him with Le Fondre if the sale brings us out of the embargo.

Bucksrover Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 We would rather he went to the premier league, but a championship club is likely to pay more because they know he can get 20+goals at this level. Tricky.

roverandout Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 The part of 'venkys and promotion' in the star article, I stopped reading it.

If there's any substance to the Sunderland rumours though then we can't realistically expect to keep Rhodes.
roverandout Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Sunderland would be the ideal club for rhodes
chris_h Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 The part of 'venkys and promotion' in the star article, I stopped reading it. I'd have thought that you fit right into the Star's ideal demographic.
Bucksrover Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Sunderland would be the ideal club for rhodes If they coughed up 12 million + I wouldn't begrudge him going. If it gets us out of embargo.

tomphil Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 And Shebby Singh! Thank god Shebby got that one right. If we clear a 4 to 6 mill profit on Rhodes are you going to credit him for that or is it all down to your suddenly new found best friend Gaz ?
Stuart Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Thank god Shebby got that one right. If we clear a 4 to 6 mill profit on Rhodes are you going to credit him for that or is it all down to your suddenly new found best friend Gaz ? That's bang out of order, tomphil. Gordon's new found best friends are Venkys.
Amo Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Drog's just being his contrarian self. If you said the sky was blue, he'd argue it was brown. Just take the prevailing mood on the board, flip it over, and you'll find Drog's default position.

The entire membership on here think you are a proper knob head and I'm in full agreement.

Pro-Rate the profit against wages over the last few years and we don't even break even.
Steve Moss Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Pro-Rate the profit against wages over the last few years and we don't even break even. Pro-rate his goals over the last few years and we might find that Rhodes was a bargain, especially if he sells for 12+ million.
