Butty Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Please god I hope we don't sign him, looked a good prospect in his villa days but that was a long time ago now and his goal record speaks for itself.
chaddyrovers Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 ROVERS: Steele, Nyambe, Kilgallon, Duffy, Spurr, Conway, Tomlinson, Lowe, Williamson, Olsson, O'Sullivan. SUBS: Eastwood, Hanley, Henley, Wall, Mansell, Mahoney, Delfonso.
G Somerset Rover Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Delfouneso! He couldn't hit a barn door at Blackpool. Oh well, he'll fit right in with Browny if he signs. ROVERS: Steele, Nyambe, Kilgallon, Duffy, Spurr, Conway, Tomlinson, Lowe, Williamson, Olsson, O'Sullivan. We're two weeks from the big KO and we are playing without a striker. It's embarrassing. Also, no Marshall. Worrying.
Swanson Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Are our young strikers that bad? Would have tought that Rittenberg or Green would be given a chance, since this is the second time "the first team" start without a striker on the field.
Hasta Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Delfonso?!? Rhodes scored 6 more goals last season than this ex-dingle dolloper has scored in 7 years.
Neal Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Next up, Nile Ranger. At least he has some genuine talent, he's just a head the ball... Delfuenso is just cack.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Tomlinson is starting. The lad seems to be only 17. Do we have a talent here? Very worrying Marshall isn't on squad today and new winger is on trial.
G Somerset Rover Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Rhodes, Gestede and Marshall all injured. Coincidence? I think not.
chaddyrovers Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Marshall said 2 weeks ago he was very happy at Rovers.
G Somerset Rover Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Marshall said 2 weeks ago he was very happy at Rovers. And Rhodes said last season he'd spend his career here if he could. Don't believe a word that comes out of a players mouth Chaddy.
Butty Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Tomlinson is starting. The lad seems to be only 17. Do we have a talent here? Very worrying Marshall isn't on squad today and new winger is on trial. Posted about him the other day, he's a Burnley lad and being from Burnley but supporting rovers I know a bit about him, was the reason his local school won the English schools cup a year or two back he looks a really good prospect and from what I know his head seems to be in the right place as well. Hope he progresses well
matt83 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I know friendlies aren't too important but to say we're only 2 weeks from the start of the season this squad feels terribly weak. And if the big 3 Rhodes/gestede/Marshall leave I don't see it getting any stronger. Long hard season I feel.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The current mess at the club may be a huge chance for young lads like Tomlinson and Nyambe to break very early.
bubblerrovers Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 2 of the 3 will go that's obvious. How we stay in the championship is beyond me, it's getting to there stage where the sooner we go bust and venkys leave the better. At least we will have our club back.
Backroom Tom Posted July 25, 2015 Backroom Posted July 25, 2015 I think the trials are a good way to go and there has been some imagination around them, not sure on Delfounso but nothing wrong with having a look
bluebruce Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted about him the other day, he's a Burnley lad and being from Burnley but supporting rovers I know a bit about him, was the reason his local school won the English schools cup a year or two back he looks a really good prospect and from what I know his head seems to be in the right place as well. Hope he progresses well Do you happen to know if he is a Burnley fan? I'll only hold it against him a little bit.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Nyambe seems ahead of Henley.Do you mean his performing today or the fact he was picked instead of Henley today? Henley and Evans did come back later than others and that may effect on selection.
SoldierMo Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Din't know where to add this but Kamy just tweeted that rovers auditors have jus resigned... I think !!!! Is about to hit the fan
tomphil Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I've been going on about the lack of another different type of striker or a hungry younger one on our bench for over a season. It shows again now in another warm up match with non, what kind of preparation is this. The wasted places given to Brown / Varney a season ago look even worse now. Bad bad signings and terrible planning. Hope the loan market is kind to us !
