Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 30, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted July 30, 2015 Yep, saw in the LT. A hell of a signing when he plays.
davulsukur Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Good luck Dunny, hopefully it works out well for him.
matt83 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Technically he'll be head and shoulders above most players in that division. If Oldham play him with someone willing to do his running and donkey work he could be a good signing for them.
chris_h Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Hopefully this move will give him the opportunity to do a bit of coaching. Good luck to him, in my experience he's a good lad a certainly a tremendous player.
onlyonejackwalker Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Best of luck to Dunny at a Oldham. Thoroughly enjoyed watching him play over the years.
Butty Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Just seen a picture of him holding the Oldham shirt on twitter, doesn't look right! Top man and wish him all the best.
Backroom Mike E Posted July 30, 2015 Backroom Posted July 30, 2015 Best of luck Dunny. Get them promoted lad, you still have it!
LewisF Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Hope he does well there, wish him all the best. Good luck dunny
thenodrog Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Superb ability for the Lower Divisions. Not often ex Prem players can be arsed to turn out down the leagues so good on him for that. I trust he is on a pay as you play contract.
Jock Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Can't understand the likes of Shearer and Owen who won't play down the divisions. They obviously don't enjoy playing that much.
Coatbridge rover Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Never been to Boundry Park but that will change this season.
bluebruce Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Good luck Dunny. If he can stay fit and put the effort in, he will absolutely annihilate that league.
mhead Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Cairney sold......am I the only person who thinks that Dunny on a pay as you play Contract could have done us some good? Dropping down to League 1 is not that far compared to dropping from premiership. Maybe Coaching experience at Oldham will do us good in the long-run.
Blueandwhitemike Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 If we'd seen a bit more of him last season mhead we might know. Something happened with him and GB I'd guess. Best player in League one if he can stay fit for long enough who knows what heights he could inspire Oldham to.
Baz Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Good luck to him, he's obviously fitter than our manager gave him game time for, in the last couple of seasons. He'll be back at Ewood is some capacity soonish I would hope.
arbitro Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Some interesting comments from Dunny in this article. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13523433.Blackburn_Rovers_legend_David_Dunn_dreaming_of_Wembley_swansong/
roverandout Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Good luck dunny look forward to playing you in league 1 next season if ur still there
thenodrog Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 If we'd seen a bit more of him last season mhead we might know. Something happened with him and GB I'd guess. Best player in League one if he can stay fit for long enough who knows what heights he could inspire Oldham to. Never minmd league 1. Our last game told us all and the Ipswich faithful that he's still the best player in the Championship....... when fit,
tomphil Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Some interesting comments from Dunny in this article. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13523433.Blackburn_Rovers_legend_David_Dunn_dreaming_of_Wembley_swansong/ No surprise at him having a veiled dig there, think King did similar in a recent interview. I think the coaching staff at Ewood do their best and probably work hard at it but they're of a very basic quality and some lack a lot of experience at this level. Just look at the managers and coaches that Dunny has played for, he'll know more than a lot of our present staff !
onlyonejackwalker Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Never minmd league 1. Our last game told us all and the Ipswich faithful that he's still the best player in the Championship....... when fit, Sounds like he was fit the last 6 months or so. As suggested on here. Strange not using him if that was the case.
