Hasta Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 You lot are pathetic you really are..I don't agree with when he subed on etc but we played well , a lot better then people thought. .The amount of bad luck we had today was torture. . But the amount of doom and gloom is unbarable..One of there goals should never of stood and we out played them in large parts stop being so @#/? down Get with the programme. He played a rookie keeper and it cost us one , possibly two, goals. He then made like for like sub's at his favoured. 60-65 minute handbook timeslot. It won't change until he goes!!

ABBEY Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 It's like your watching someone else We need a defender that's it..We were competitive today and looked good in large parts Just had a text and they said it was crap ? Are they wrong or you
perthblue02 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Radio Rovers going on like we have never had a dodgy decision or two in our favour, no mention of what else went on in the game yet
AdamRochina Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Both wrong it wasent crap, but it wasn't great
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Sounds like we played alright today and a few decisions potentially cost us at least a point. Sounded like both teams were annoyed with the referee. Says a lot really.
adsfortheblues Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 It's like your watching someone else We need a defender that's it..We were competitive today and looked good in large parts Depends on your definition of "looked good" - I'm afraid your definition varies massively from most others mate. Radio Rovers going on like we have never had a dodgy decision or two in our favour, no mention of what else went on in the game yet Mr Gallagher did say "after this, blackburn are in for a long hard season".
donnermeat Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Why does every team that comes here look far more composed on the ball than us? We look like the away team every time. And where was the movement at set pieces?
broadsword Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 It's like last season never ended. Just that despairing, defeatist feeling again. Absolutely hate it.
matt83 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Start of last season I thought might Bowyer learn from his mistakes of the previous season. He did not. Not even a glimmer of that happening. This summer in moments of weakness I thought well maybe if bowyer learns and we tighten up defensively. It's clear to me not from one game but from 2 full seasons and one game he is either unable or unwilling to learn. Not that he's going anywhere. So another season of going round in pointless circles. Bowyers not good enough...I know but who would take the job...bowyers not good enough...I know but we can't trust the venkys to make correct appointment...bowyers not good enough...I know but who would take the job...bowyers not good enough...I know but we can't trust the venkys to make correct appointment...bowyers not good enough... Can't wait.
ptholt Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Sadly you also have to make your own efforts and not just rely on Lady Luck then moan if it doesn't go your way, yes it was a handball, arguably we could have had a pen, but just get the ball in the net and make your own luck rather than just relying on luck like its a mysterious extra player. Bemoaning referees calls and decisions when the leading rovers goal scorer is a wolves player... It's always going to be tough season when you have two "defensive powerhouses" that make the chuckle brothers look like terminator v predator. Roll out last seasons generic excuse machine from nice guy Gary, bad luck, poor reffing, good try given our predicament, it's early days blah blah Going to need a centre back who can defend and work as a pair surprised no killa tbh
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I haven't watched the game, only listened to it, but it seems like a lot of people on here are really annoyed with our performance. Personally it sounded like we were decent. Not great, but not bad either. We hit the woodwork a few times, had some good chances on goal. Our defending wasn't brilliant but maybe one of their goals was very lucky (handball). Despite the defeat, against a good team, I think we can take some positives away from this.

Neal Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 If there is a positive, sounded like Koita made an impression when he came on...
Husky Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Says: Would have won, worst handball since 86, missed chances, players tired from nervous energy, Hanley is International class, definite pen, all over 'em, reet good go. I'll save the ffp excuses for when we get slaughtered, see you tuesday for the pen shoot out loss.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Sometimes decisions go your way other times against you, that's football. Way too early to say anything really but the defence didn't look that much improved if it all and that was a major weakness last season, but we need to see more games. I'll be interested to see how much rotation the manager does for the next game, I think he rotated the team way too much from week to week last season without being forced to due to suspensions and injuries. 16k was the attendance? 3k+ were Wolves fans? Seems rather low for the opening day of the season but I guess the mood and confidence in the manager/team isn't that great.
Doaksie Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 We need a defender that's it Hmmmmmmm, OK. Does your head ever get sore up in the clouds?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 If you went to the game, how did Koita do?On the radio it sounded like he had a couple of good moments. Initial thoughts?
Backroom Tom Posted August 8, 2015 Backroom Posted August 8, 2015 Disappointing result considering the goals were both avoidable. We hit the post twice but so did they, and both teams had a clear penalty turned down. Neither keeper worked too much in reality with both of them looking like weak links. Koita was very good when he came on, hit the post and then headed goal wards with Duffy somehow failing to knock in. Weak points for me were Marshall, Hanley-Duffy and I'm sorry but Lowe was appalling. As an aside we moved to the family stand for a nicer environment; some bloke came and stood next to us swearing his head off, a few told him to be quiet and he got worse, I told him to button it and he apologised to me then started offering people outside. As he was being dragged away by his mate he offered one too many folk out and a bigger bloke lamped him and all hell broke loose, not a steward in sight for 5 minutes
rigger Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I never have nor will I ever, take a positive from a home defeat.
AdamRochina Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Hmmmmmmm, OK. Does your head ever get sore up in the clouds? I meant to be more solid at the back ...I don't think Hanley and Duffy work together ..killgallon and Duffy at best and a prem loan to cover We do need a specialist number ten aseconds Marshall dissappeared then had a flash then dissappeared again he's better on the wing.. Maybe loan lingaRd I think we will win the next two maybe three league games
