Amo Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Will be a miracle if West Ham win this. They're completely under the cosh. Well, sh*t.

davulsukur Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Will be a miracle if West Ham win this. They're completely under the cosh. They've done it! Fair play to them.
Backroom DE. Posted September 19, 2015 Author Backroom Posted September 19, 2015 West Ham certainly have the formula for beating big teams away. Weaker at home though. Essentially the total opposite to Allardyce. I do like their team though. Some very good players there.
Claytons Left Boot Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Another poor result for Villa and Tim Sherwood today. Birmingham - population of the city - 1.1m Population of the Birmingham urban area - 2.4m Crowd today for the Brum Derby - 36k - shocking!
Mattyblue Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 That Rudi Jestede is a big lump, aint he?
Walney Blue Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Brother Sherwoods Villa having a stinker. Will Randy realise he's still a Lerner? Tick Tock Tick Tock Tim
chor808 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 That Rudi Jestede is a big lump, aint he? Not looking six million tonight. Boos all round.
Blue Cabbage Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Beast of a header. Toilet on the deck though
chor808 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 You were saying? Dam we will never get him back.
Stuart Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Brother Sherwoods Villa having a stinker. Will Randy realise he's still a Lerner? Tick Tock Tick Tock Tim He's a born winner.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 22, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted September 22, 2015 I'll be surprised if Sherwood lasts the season....
Backroom DE. Posted September 22, 2015 Author Backroom Posted September 22, 2015 They'll have to start playing a lot better to stay up, especially with the promoted clubs really going for it this season.
Walney Blue Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 He's a born winner. Spurs beg to differ squire. All credit to brother Tim, stripped the paint from the quarter deck and the shipmates came through.
blueboy3333 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/sep/22/aston-villa-birmingham-capital-one-cup-match-report Booed off a half-time, then after the match Sherwood claimed he intended to only give Lescott 45 minutes and change things. Nothing to do with being booed off then! Rowett rightly was sceptical. Tactics Tim in full effect He's a born winner. LoL, not as a manager. £50m spent this summer and can only beat Brum and B'mouth, thanks mainly to the man Bowyer rescued from footballs scrapheap. RUUUUUUUUUDYYYY
sambo Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Gestede looked out of his depth at times last night, but that header was an absolute bullet and sums up how effective he can be. I still think we got pretty good money for him. I would happily be wrong as I like Gestede but don't think he will prove a particularly shrewd buy for Villa.
Claytons Left Boot Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Birmingham - population of the city - 1.1m Population of the Birmingham urban area - 2.4m Crowd today for the Brum Derby - 36k - shocking! Post above was for Villa/WBA. Crowd for last nights game, Villa/Birmingham was 34k - shocking. Empty seats my lord.
Mattyblue Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The Birmingham clubs are poorly supported. In our PL days our small town club would be constantly belittled for our crowds, though our average was usually around 25000. Villa struggle to muster 35000 from the UK's second biggest city, yet they are lauded as 'a big, traditional club'.

RUUUUUUUUUDYYYY No respect for our title winning captain.????You're free to air your views on his management. Revelling in it seems a bit odd.
gumboots Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Son at the Newcastle sheff wed game. Said he could still be there next week and Newcastle still wouldn't have scored. They were awful. Newcastle had more or less their first team out and sheff wed had made 10 changes
A cup of beans Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Steve MCclaren has come out and called for passion and fight. His record at Derby and Newcastle : last 20 games, 3 wins.
Backroom DE. Posted September 23, 2015 Author Backroom Posted September 23, 2015 Wonder if the Sack Pardew brigade are having second thoughts?
A cup of beans Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Wonder if the Sack Pardew brigade are having second thoughts? They should be, even though they were falling fast in his last few months. Geordies could never see past his southerness and association with Ashley. The link was always exaggerated.
Mattyblue Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I had a look at a Newcastle forum (yep, I'm that sad) and there were plenty still stating as fact that sacking Pardew was a good idea. Reminded me of somewhere else circa 2012...
Backroom DE. Posted September 24, 2015 Author Backroom Posted September 24, 2015 I do wonder whether they actually think that, or if they just feel like they have to say that because they backed themselves into a corner deriding Pardew to such a degree (this does sound familiar, doesn't it?). IMO Pardew had Newcastle punching well above their weight for a fair portion of his tenure. He's now doing the same at Palace, but if/when Palace's form drops off a bit I doubt the fans will be as vicious in demanding his removal.
