davulsukur Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Daily mirror reckon Monk is set to be axed by Swansea, can't see that happening myself but you never know. Although they have been in poor form of late. Shouldn't be short of job offers.

chaddyrovers Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Monk being sack wouldnt surprise me tbh. 1 win in 8 games. They were rumours of him being sack a couple of weeks ago.
JHRover Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Swansea have a nack for making ruthless managerial decisions sometimes when not expected. When they got rid of Laudrup the timing was a surprise as was giving the job to Monk, yet it paid off.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 9, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 9, 2015 Murphy too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3309111/Top-footballers-including-Kevin-Campbell-Andy-Cole-Danny-Murphy-face-100million-losses-mis-selling-investments-scandal.html Makes up somewhat for how much money he gained whilst here....
Baz Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Ex Premier Leaue players lost 100 m in tax avoidance investment scheme, Craig Short one of them https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/football--premier-league-stars--lost-£100m-in-film-and-property-investment-schemes-185709737.html Film investment is done in that manner anyway, a film is usually either a (tax deductable) heavy loss, or a big earner if the film does well.Have to say I don't really feel very sorry for them.
G Somerset Rover Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Bloody hell, Shorty's had a rough couple of weeks!

patrickvalery Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6742052/Mathieu-Flaminis-no-fuel.html This is an incredible story really. If nothing else it highlights just how much money these footballers get today. A half decent PL midfielder has accrued enough to start a venture which can potentially have him rubbing shoulders with some big petrochemical companies. When you consider the drive and determination Flamini must have had to reach this point it makes you wonder just what the likes of Leon Best has done with his earnings (and I use that word reluctantly).
Backroom Tom Posted November 15, 2015 Backroom Posted November 15, 2015 Leon Best has a line of trainers I believe, hardly worth mentioning I know

Every credit to Flamini to be honest. Much better than handing it over to dodgy tax-avoidance schemes.

Ewooduknow Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Josh king with his first for Bournemouth at Swansea.
Backroom DE. Posted November 21, 2015 Author Backroom Posted November 21, 2015 Have to assume Monk will get the axe if Swansea lose today. Could take a potential candidate away from QPR/Fulham.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Good for Vardy. RVN's record equalled with ten in ten. Don't suppose Woy will pick him though.
joey_big_nose Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Good for Vardy. RVN's record equalled with ten in ten. Don't suppose Woy will pick him though. Some set of strikers England have knocking on the door now.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Garde not making Sherwood look any worse at all. Villa 3-0 down. Swansea back to 2-2 with Bournemouth from 2 down.

Think this might finally be the season that Villa reap what their owner has sown over the past few years. Monk needs a win imo. Don't think a draw at home to Bournemouth will be considered good enough.
Backroom DE. Posted November 21, 2015 Author Backroom Posted November 21, 2015 You can see Klopp's influence, some really incisive passing from Liverpool. City have been awful.
Amo Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 This is going to be the worst ever United side who win the league.
Backroom DE. Posted November 21, 2015 Author Backroom Posted November 21, 2015 This is going to be the worst ever United side who win the league. Well, since the last time they won it anyway...
Ewooduknow Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Liverpool only 38% possession. Must be deadly on the counter.
joey_big_nose Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Liverpool only 38% possession. Must be deadly on the counter. Yes. Absolutely lethal! The triumvate of Firminho, Couinho and Lallana looked fantastic. To be honest their style looked very similar to how they played under Rodgers a couple of seasons ago with Suarez, Sturridge and Stirling.
