Commondore Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I only made the connection with Phil Neville and Valencia the other day (and the Chinese guy that part owns Salford City owns Valencia). Quite a surprise this appointment though! Rumor has it that their last manager was more or less a puppet for "super agent" Jorge Mendes and club owner Peter Lim to move their players to and from Valencia and maximize their own profits via, and now after having been called out on it one of Lim's mates replaces him... This appointment stinks.

Blue blood Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Didn't know where to put this but Gary Neville is the new Valencia manager. The more I read, even from pro Neville sites such as the BBC, in my opinion this seems the clearest agent-owner set up since a certain Lancashire club changed ownership... Be interesting to see how it turns out, reckon Neville's enough protection in the media that the dodgy nature of the debacle doesn't taint him.
Backroom Tom Posted December 5, 2015 Backroom Posted December 5, 2015 Interesting day at Arsenal tomorrow Why's that?
speeeeeeedie Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Stoke just beat City 2-0. It could have been 4 or 5. Without Kompany and Aguero, City are quite average. Stoke played some good football.
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2015 Author Backroom Posted December 5, 2015 Kompany, Aguero and Toure are the spine of that team. The struggle when one of them is out, let alone all three. A good result for Stoke, though. Could see Arsenal and United dropping points as well, though West Ham typically tend to @#/? themselves when playing at Old Trafford.

I think that they can cope without Toure, but not the other 2. He's not the player he used to be. Hopefully Andy Carroll manhandles United. Arsenal should win. Ramsey is in the middle rather than out wide. Walcott to come on and score 2.

Kompany's winding down too, so they are going to need a replacement for him sooner rather than later. Aguero's injury proneness makes him hard to rely on for a full season. They'll be up there come the end of the season, but with the money they've spent in recent years they should be dominating the league this season. Just shows how much they've wasted in recent times.
chaddyrovers Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 with Swansea losing with Garry Monk be sack?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 5, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted December 5, 2015 Leicester have been bang in form, and I'm glad for my fantasy team Mahrez is as well, but yeah, I imagine so!
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2015 Author Backroom Posted December 5, 2015 with Swansea losing with Garry Monk be sack? He can't have long left. Not sure what's gone wrong there but he doesn't seem able to change it.
Newera Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Folk were far too quick in hailing monk a success in the first place IMO.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 5, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted December 5, 2015 Chelsea look very poor, Willian has looked class as ever though! Bournemouth have had some decent chances...
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2015 Author Backroom Posted December 5, 2015 Bournemouth needed the HT whistle badly, Chelsea were all over them at the end. Amazing how impotent Chelsea look going forward though. So many creative players, so little creativity.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Chelsea look very poor, Willian has looked class as ever though! Bournemouth have had some decent chances... Good job for Chelsea they fell to Josh King.........
Newera Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 That's where Alex Ferguson was so good as a manager, he kept reinventing himself to remain successful. Morinho has had his day. One trick pony.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 5, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted December 5, 2015 Bournemouth 1-0 up!
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2015 Author Backroom Posted December 5, 2015 You've got to laugh. Chelsea are cursed.
Speedie Dived Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Love watching Chelsea get done. The money in the league has certainly made it more competitive, probably only two bad sides in the league.
davulsukur Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 with Swansea losing with Garry Monk be sack? I imagine he will be gone by Monday. Not sure if he's done well or just inherited a good squad. Putting faith in Gomis was an awful idea.
LewisF Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 You've got to laugh. Chelsea are cursed.its brilliant!
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 May I just say.........hahahaha! at Chelsea? 1st time round, Jose was quite tongue in cheek like Brian Clough. Now he believes his own hype and has been a rude, arrogant, delusional lunatic for a few years.
