Oh how we could do with a Josh King now. Rapid and can finish, that's what's needed these days at premiership level

We would still have him if GB had not left him on the bench all the time.

What's that got to do with anything?

I get that you're bitter about yesterday's result but don't take it out on me with pointless and meaningless digs

'these days' sounds like the words of a veteran but your sig says 6 grounds visited. Are you an armchair fan?

I don't go to premiership matches 'these days' as we're not in the prem any more, yet I know what it takes to be a premiership striker nowadays seeing as I watch match of the day

In response to armchair fan - no, not in the slightest. I've got a ST as it shows in my profile.

If Kante doesn't get player of the season it's a travesty

Not sure myself. He's been excellent in the second half of the season, but took a while to grow into the team. He wasn't even a starter for the early games.

Mahrez has been consistently outstanding since the opening game, producing moments of genius in big games (goal against City, outrageous back heel last week, stunning goal yesterday) . To keep trying the things he does as the expectation has risen takes a pretty special character.

I think he's had the best individual season since Ronaldo was playing over here.

While we're talking about Leicester,

" England coach and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville commented on how Vardy's approach influences teammates: "he sets the tempo and the tone for the rest of the team and gives no other player behind him any excuse for not working hard."

Like all top strikers in recent years. Ian Rush at Liverpool, Shearer with us etc. They set the example for the rest of the team. They can turn a poor pass into a good one.

Newcastle being linked with David Moyes in today's Telegraph

Newcastle were awful yesterday an their defending was shambolic and not working as a team. Clearly not playing for their current manager and his coaching staff

I could see that happening.

fair enough. A player like him would still be a valuable asset to us though, premiership or not

but his wages would be such a drain on our finances, that they would negate any value as an asset he would bring.
