Though the compromise was kicking off at 7pm

That's a blessing in disguise. Straight into it without the usual 30 mins of often inane pre-game nonsense.

Might be the 100 they are potting.

Haha. Yeah "you are hear-by invited to apply for the vacant managers position". Yours sincerely Aston Rovers.

Interviews pitch side at Upton Park: song playing Teenage Kicks and Town Called Malice! What tripe do we play at half time and pre match?

We need to sort our music choices out, although that's certainly not the only thing we need to sort out

Looks like Carrol missed a 'get me on the plane' chance.

Anyway, on to the rumour mill I heard Shrek went for a new hair implant and that's the real reason he's been out so long. Well as long as he looks good for France.

Quite funny to see the Hammers getting beat at the last ever fa cup game at the boelyn ground, like it's some mecca of football. Unfortunately its by a side i can't stand either. The united fans will be home earlier tonight than most 3pm kick-offs in Manchester.

I don't really like citing celeb cases (especially when I never went out of my way to watch Animal Hospital or Savile's shows either) but Rolf Harris is facing another trial now.

Wonder if he might get more than Johnson this time? Even in the case of serious abusers like Harris we can't assume he's guilty in every single case. So who knows how the new trial might go? Its filtering out the gold diggers from the genuine ones.

Turns out that West Ham will be paying £2.5 million per year to use the Olympic Stadium after contributing £15 million to the conversion costs (which should be covered by developing Upton Park into housing). The company who own and manage the stadium were desperate to prevent the public from learning the details of the deal (I wonder why).

I suppose if you're West Ham and you're getting a 60,000 state of the art arena for 99 years for less a year than you are paying Andy Carroll to sit in the treatment room most of the season then its a great deal. Especially when the TV deal comes in and the value of the club rockets as their fanbase grows massively.

Can see one or two clubs not being too happy about this though. Chelsea, QPR, Arsenal and Spurs who have all had to pay fortunes to plan and develop new stadia with private finance which take years and years to come to fruition, and Charlton, Orient and Dagenham are going to struggle to compete in the region if West Ham are able to offer cheaper tickets for Premier League football as a result of having no costs to pay back. Arsenal are only just coming out of paying off the Emirates costs 10 years on.

It's a real do if you're West Ham and you can't blame them to be fair! It's a kick in the groin for lots of other clubs, especially Arsenal as you say!

They may end up purchasing it from the City Council like Man City did, but if you can pay under £3 Million to lease it per season, why would you? They can probably recoup that in a month or two!

Why was my post on Adam Johnson removed? I know we aren't supposed to question the mods but there wasn't the slightest thing wrong with it.

Don't begrudge West Ham that stadium at all. Should always remember how hard they fought to stop United winning on 14th May 1995. So no idea why anyone would laugh at them for losing their last FA Cup game at the ground.

Because it started about Rolf Harris and that has nothing to do with football.

If I was Rooney I'd be asking for my money back. Looks like the tide's going out on the transplant.

He'll feel much better if he just let's it go, said by a man with experience in his predicament. Though with his money I suppose it was worth a stab at it.

It's because their fans are mugs Vinjay.

He was bald aged 20. Silly fool with his carpet. Only one solution when your hair is thinning. Number one all over. Sadly I am experienced in this as well!

I went bald when I was 19. Although I didn't particularly try to hide it, I tended to have what was left cut at about number 3 all over. I'm in my 50s now and started shaving the lot off when I reached my mid 30s and I can honestly say that I look younger now than I did in my late 20s. You are what you are, most blokes actually look okay with a shaved head. Rooney is a definite exception though.

There are worse afflictions than premature baldness....

Well I'm certainly not naturally bald (and I'm not bald right now) but about 5 years ago I shaved it all off. Have to admit my reason would probably seem bizarre but people didn't start staring and gawping while walking down the street. Really nobody cared at all and at one time one of my biggest fears was being bald.

K-Hod will probably delete these posts soon lol.

Ha, I doubt it, I'm as much to blame as anyone for taking them off topic! :tu:

A pal of mine recently decided to shave the lot off. His hair was grey, thinning pretty badly and it was costing him £20 every 6 weeks or so for a trim. He looks 20 years younger with it all off.

Sunderland a goal up against Norwich. Would be huge for them if they can win this one.

Sounds a classic. Just looked at the stats - 1 shot on target by both teams in the first half and that was the penalty !
