Yer i do. Spend time with family and friends. Give gifts to my kids and see the happiness on their faces etc.

Do i celebrate the birth of Jesus, nope. Do i know anyone who actually does at Christmas? Nope.

Then your kids will grow up as ignorant as you.

Sure. If we win all of our games, then we beat Bristol on Monday, meaning that they can get maximum of 56 from their remaining games if they win all 3. Anything less means maximum 54, less than our potential 55.

If Bristol win all of their games then they must beat Big Club who will then also have a maximum of 56, or 54 if they draw one game, but they would have to beat Burton on Monday who would then only have a maximum of 54.

Wigan can only get 52.

Obviously all the other sides above us can also stay up if they win their games.

Hope springs eternal after an improved display against a poor Forest. Great atmosphere. Fans helped players and they responded.

I think that's made it less clear TBH. Have another go;)

I think what he is saying is it is impossible for all the teams above us to win all of their games, simply because some play each other. Burton play Birmingham on Monday for example, so they can't both win. Add to that Bristol City playing us and Birmingham, so basically, if we will all of our games, we can't go down.

Monday will be big and if we can get a win, then we are in with a shout. The Birmingham V Burton game will be interesting, as will Cardiff V Forest. If we do happen to win, in theory we would go fifth bottom, dependant on those other two games. We just have to hope we win.

It might even come down to goal difference in the end. We need to beat Brizzle 4-0 to drag them back into the GD lottery.

Brum v Brizzle last game of the season could be interesting. If we're a point above both with a far better goal difference than at least one of them by the last day of the season, and providing we don't get hammered at Brentford, then we're safe. SortedB)

Whether we survive in this league or not, there's going to be a mass clear out of players in summer.

Anyone on a contract will be up for sale, everyone else will just leave for nothing.

I just can't get too excited about staying up and being next season's Rotherham.

I guarantee that if we stay up, that will not happen.

The squad NEEDS restructuring. Its not a bad thing.

It does need restructuring but going off the last 6 years I have no faith in the owners or management to do it properly. Especially given that the budget is now zero.

I can only see a handful of current players staying and everyone else being replaced with the cheapest possible players available = guaranteed relegation next season. Mowbray might even walk.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic, but time will tell.

Whatever keeps them away from religion.

Anyway, this isn't the thread for this discussion.

By giving your children gifts at Christmas you are participating in a religious festival.

We've had the 'restructuring' of selling players with value and replacing them with players who are cheap/free.

Stage 2 will be remove the higher earners and replace with people who are on less money.

I can't see how anyone can disagree with the above.

Who are the high earners you speak of? We only signed Stokes and Mulgrew last summer who I would imagine they are amongst our highest earners.

Looking at remain fixtures IF Burton beat Big Club on Monday, Big Club's remaining games of neighbours Villa (a), promotion hopefuls Huddersfield (h), followed by a last game at Bristol is a tall order and their current tally of 47 points could be curtains.

We need to beat Bristol and hope Cardiff beat Forest. That will at least drag other clubs more into the equation.

This isn't the 'Attack poster's parenting' thread.

Or the 'Commercialisation of Christmas' thread.

I still reckon we're going down but this dash of hope from the Forest game is welcome. Stranger things have happened.

Birmingham in real trouble I think. All 4 of their remaining games involve something to play for for both sides.

2 relegation-threatened sides, 1 play-off team and local rivals Aston Villa.

They could collapse under that. However I was wrong about Bristol so, no doubt, lots of twists and turns to come yet!

Said this a few weeks ago. They have a worse goal difference than us. They only thing is rowett had the ground work done earlier in the season as they got some wins.

We are no longer talking about big salaries. I'd imagine the medium earners will be under threat.

Lowe got his new contract under Keano. That won't be small. Why do you think there is no talk at all of renewal.

Evans, Graham and Guthrie will be on there way.

No idea if Stokes and Mulgrew are on as much as those three. I'd hope not seeing as both were free and they didn't exactly have better options. They more likely dug their heels in for a 3 year contract cos the money wasn't high enough.
