A cup of beans Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Bowyer isn't the problem Neal, Venkys are. Get rid of Bowyer and we replace him with Craig Short or worse, its a vicious circle. We need to get rid of Venkys, simple as that. There may be some fans who would rather take Short over Bowyer, at the moment. Doesn't always translate, But Short has probably forgotten more about football than Bowyer will ever know. Short was a real leader. Passionate and fiery. 3 things GB doesn't show.

Gav Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Not quite, Venkys are responsible for pretty much everything but this guy is employed by them to get results and this guy just isn't delivering. I understand your point on emplyoying Short but Surely people are finding it difficult to keep themselves from calling for his removal. If people do start turning against him I'm not going enjoy having to argue with every thicko saying "who are we going to get?"... Makes my blood boil. The owners have taken us from 10th in the premiership to bottom half of the championship. We're 90m in debt with little or no assets. We have a rookie manager trying his best in difficult circumstances If we have Jose as manager he wouldn't get us promoted with no money and free transfers in the first 11. Its about time posters stopped bullsh1ting the new signings up, if they were any good they'd not be here, simple as that. Its VENKYS out of league 2 with £200m
tomphil Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 He's even more of a rookie than Bowyer tomphil, that should answer the question. My point is would he actually be worse, maybe he wouldn't be better but something might have to give sooner or later.

WHY WOULD ANYONE TAKE A ROOKIE THATS LESS EXPERIENCE THAN BOWYER? Round and round and round, learning absolutely nothing in the process. Come on Cup of beans FFS I give up.
thenodrog Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Have you never used a touchscreen Drog ? They are a nightmare for that kind of thing, not that it should really matter anyway. Indeed I have. New lap top and windows 10 is doing my head in.

Not saying I want it to happen for one minute but would it really be such a disaster that some like to suggest ? Like you say he should have more knowledge and he's the one who's been in the dressing room and worked under several top managers at the top level whilst Bowyer has been blowing his whistle and clapping his hands at kids.

Its VENKYS out of league 2 with £200m I understand all that Gav and of course ideally they would leave and sell to someone capable but look at the squads Bournemouth, Wolves, Ipswich and heck even Burnley assembled with little spending... A passionate manager could get a tune out of this team.

It's an extremely theoretical discussion, but it needs to be said; having worked under several top managers has absolutely nothing to do with being a good manager. There's a whole rogues gallery of useless ex-player managers to prove that point.
Spankus Munky Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Coaches never work when moved up to manager/interim manager at the same club. They are always too friendly with the players as a Coach so they fail to garner the respect needed when they need to assert their authority

A passionate manager could get a tune out of this team. A passionate manager is way beyond our reach Neal. That lying drunken **** Appleton Berg Bowyer What makes you think we'll get someone with passion, someone with 'a tune' We need to get rid of the owners, its the only way forward.
savage90 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Start as you mean to go on. Year two and still no inspiration from the sidelines. Nice guy, good coach, great servant to the club... let him do something useful you idiots. Bemuses me how these people can run a business, successful enough to buy a football club.
Neal Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 A passionate manager is way beyond our reach Neal. That lying drunken **** Appleton Berg Bowyer What makes you think we'll get someone with passion, someone with 'a tune' We need to get rid of the owners, its the only way forward. I'm not disagreeing with you Gav. All's i'm saying that someone with passion is what we need else we could end up slipping further down the leagues with this fella and I'm a bit stumped as to why the fans are willing to sit and accept what they're seeing. Unfortunately, there's little we can do to get Venkys to shift whilst they're sat at the other side of the world but we can surely call for a passionate manager? If I had to throw any name out there, I'd bloody love Gary Rowett. Guy has done an unbelievable job at Brum and after listening to him speak about management and his approach I found him to be one of the most impressive managers I've heard for a long time and he's already got experience of working at a circus... PERFECT.
Backroom Mike E Posted August 19, 2015 Backroom Posted August 19, 2015 I can't sleep so here's something random: Tom M, I spotted you on my way back from buying a HT coke and pie tonight, but you were on your phone you ignorant fiend! I'll have to Mandible Claw you or something at the Bolton game. Will distract me from the game at least and I'm sure ABBEY will give me a lift on his shoulders up to the family stand

PERFECT. How about Rowett's successor at Burton? Jimmy Floyd Haiselbaink has done well there so far (I think. Hasn't he?)
Mike Graham Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I have seen 1000+ games at Ewood and that was in the top 5 worst games. Tonight, bar 5 minutes late on, was appalling. GB wants to hang his head in shame. We were absolute sh!te. Cardiff were even worse. Just about on my way to work, I repeat everything I said last night. Indeed I feel even more angry now than last night.....that was appalling, if I was a walk on fan I would be asking for my money back.
Stuart Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 He's even more of a rookie than Bowyer tomphil, that should answer the question. Our next manager probably will be a rookie, or a manager with a damaged reputation. Whether Venkys stay or go.We might have to accept that. Something has to change though.
Paul Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Did bowyer really say we only had two players over 24? Yes on Radio Rovers he said something along the lines of "we only had two players over 24 on the pitch at the end" later he changed it to three. His interview expressed the complete opposite of everything I saw last night. Bowyer has lost the plot.
Coatbridge rover Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 There isn't a decent team in there. Bowyer has scrambled together a team filled with crap, which only fully dawned on me tonight, with Rhodes injured, Gestede gone, the misused Cairney gone and the underused King gone. There were no excuses last year as we had 40 goals. Looking at the team today. Raya is horrendous, how he is ahead of 2 admittedly average goalkeepers themselves in Boro outcast Steele and League 2 free agent Eastwood is a mystery. Henley has returned to the frightened rabbit caught in the headlights. Hanley was fine but is never going to be accident free. Duffy is appalling, terrible distribution and so rash. Spurr again is very poor, not a clue why Olsson was a sub. Marshall again was woeful, people consider him to be proof of GB's transfer wizardry but hes an example of a player who performs well once every 5 games. Conway is our shining light at the moment. Lowe is an absolute joke. Akpan, the Reading reserve dubbed "No Hope Akpan" isnt much better, but at least he cant pass wind so he fits in. The strikeforce is a joke too, Koita is raw, quite dangerous but hes an unknown quantity and Delfouenso's just been released by Blackpool. Apart from Conway and Hanley, I don't think I'd pay money for any of them. Hanleys a push too. Were above you in the league six fingersDid we win and I missed a goal ? Bowyer interviewed like we won and radio rovers blasted the darts tune out like we'd wonWhy do you listen 👂 to it if it winds you up so much.

Coatbridge rover Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I suggested in the venkys out thread a plane ✈ to show Venkys how much we are disillusioned by them. But reading this thread its not there fault its Mr Bowyer, why don't all you bowyer haters hire a plane bowyer out for the Bolton game. Then you will look like a right set off pillocks because the reason is VENKYS no one Elsa.
ABBEY Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Did bowyer really say we only had two players over 24?yup

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 19, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted August 19, 2015 I'm not saying this to wind anybody up but... How long is this going to go on for until people start to turn on Bowyer vocally? The majority of the fans want change yet the fan base remains tight lipped. I understand that he's not Steve Ke*n but that's not an excuse for us to accept what we've been watching for the past 2 years. Bowyer Out. Heard a few in the Riverside begin to seriously turn.
Gav Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Name one that would come There was nothing wrong with berg imo His record says different Coatbridge, but with the odds stacked firmly against him I bet he was happy to get away from this mad house. He was just a pawn in a power struggle, disgusting, and those 3 idiots in Pune got burnt again.
