His record says different Coatbridge, but with the odds stacked firmly against him I bet he was happy to get away from this mad house.

He was just a pawn in a power struggle, disgusting, and those 3 idiots in Pune got burnt again.

No manager deserves to be sacked after 10 games, his record at worzava(those who went to legia in the champs league will understand that)says he is a very good manager.

I don't disagree at all.

He came here and wasn't allowed to bring in any players or any back room staff, just another example of life under 3 idiots from Pune.

Irrelevant. There is a gary bowyer thread already open. Go on there to express your dissatisfaction.

On the last page you're discussing windows 10 (sucker) and a new laptop so don't start preaching to me!

4 games without a win?

Chelsea are currently on 7 without a win.

Merely responding to a previous post. 'Sucker'? Only went from 7 to 10 because I heard nothing but bad reports about 8. What would you do?

You maybe ok with 10, depending what you use the laptop for. Often with new releases you find current software doesn't work right away, but it will eventually.

Did we win and I missed a goal ? Bowyer interviewed like we won and radio rovers blasted the darts tune out like we'd won

That royally @#/?*d me off last night. We were absolutely awful, and Chelsea Dagger came on like we had reason to celebrate getting a late equaliser vs Cardiff!!

Shambles, from top to bottom.

Agree re the Pune morons -VENKEYS OUT

but Quick question - how long you going to call Bowyer a Rookie?

Never wanted Bowyer in the first place - even after his first stand in temporary charge - nothing has changed

We are boring and clueless to watch and have been since he has been in the driving seat - he has to be potted just to give us a fighting chance of staying up - yes even this early in the season.

Not convinced as some we have a good team in there to be challenging play offs but probably just enough to stay in the this division - without Bowyer and Lowe

How about his record whilst here?

Anyway why has this changed into another whinge at bowyer thread?

Probably because this game, more than any, showed that we have the players capable of turning over average teams like Cardiff at home. However once again the starting line up was woeful and we only started playing once we were forced to make (positive) changes. It happens almost every week.

Playing two backward-playing defensive midfielders was stupid. Neither can move the ball forward , when they did try to it tended to go out of play or intercepted. In the first half we hardly played one ball to feet through the middle of the park. It was a case of either spend ages working it out wide or go backwards. It was easy to mark against because Cardiff could just stick tight to Marshall / Conway (who were rigidly staying out wide) and our only option was to lump it. The chances at the end of the half were down to long throws and a free kick and maybe masked a little how bad it was.

In the second half, once Barrow came on, suddenly he and Marshall were more fluid and drifting centrally giving more options. Once Guthrie finally got on it allowed us to actually pass the ball forward (admittedly with limited ability!), and we suddenly looked like a team towards the end.

That ignores the experiment to start with the potentially higher cash valued Raya has cost us in 2 games now - an experiment that may well be worth trying but should have been done at the end of last season with nothing at stake.

Bowyer has been a manager for less than 3yrs, in my eyes he's still a rookie CAPT.

People are comparing him to Mick Macarthys who has been a manager for 20yrs! Tony Mowbray 15yrs, in those terms he's very much a rookie.

When he stops being a rookie I'm not sure tbh, but as I've said many times he's not the problem, Venkys are.

Get rid of Bowyer and we get someone else in that's cheap and a yes man, its the Venky way.

Lowe (probably our worst player) substituted for Henley and put at RB a position in which he can only defend in when we needed Henleys pace and attack mindedness...

This for me personifies the biggest most severe weakness in our club... Bowyers stubborn favoritism ensure he lacks credibility and most of the players know this to be the case...

Chuffed with the ending massively frustrated with bowyer - this to me proves he is not a leader..

I can honestly say that i have never seen Henley contribute anything attacking. Henley will lose out to Spurr staying on the pitch because his long throw is one of our most potent weapons. I am not convinced by Henley at all.

I'm not saying this to wind anybody up but... How long is this going to go on for until people start to turn on Bowyer vocally?

The majority of the fans want change yet the fan base remains tight lipped. I understand that he's not Steve Ke*n but that's not an excuse for us to accept what we've been watching for the past 2 years.

Bowyer Out.

Because of the list of problems we have he is not at the top of it. We have had 5 managers under the Pune tools and not one has done well (granted Big Sam didn't have a lot of chance to do well).

I am far from Bowyers biggest fan but i can see he saved us from dropping down to Div 1 and would be grateful if he did that this year. We must be the only team i have ever known expected to make a promotion push whilst under an embargo. Div 1 has been littered with teams who were.

The owners have taken us from 10th in the premiership to bottom half of the championship.

We're 90m in debt with little or no assets.

We have a rookie manager trying his best in difficult circumstances

If we have Jose as manager he wouldn't get us promoted with no money and free transfers in the first 11.

Its about time posters stopped bullsh1ting the new signings up, if they were any good they'd not be here, simple as that.

Its VENKYS out of league 2 with £200m

Absolutely spot on. Go through last nights team:-

Raya - Youth product

Henley - Youth product

Hanley - Youth product

Duffy - Bought from team relegated to league 1

Spurr - Bought from team relegated to league 1

Conway - Championship player

Lowe - Youth Product

Akpom - Played in league 2 just 2 years ago

Marshall - Bought from Premier League

Koita - Bought from French league 1

Delfeuseno - Bought from team relegated to league 1

That team has a high chance of going down with anyone in charge. A combination of an embargo and owners/board over the years has led us to this point and everyone thinks it's the manager.

I'm not disagreeing with you Gav. All's i'm saying that someone with passion is what we need else we could end up slipping further down the leagues with this fella and I'm a bit stumped as to why the fans are willing to sit and accept what they're seeing. Unfortunately, there's little we can do to get Venkys to shift whilst they're sat at the other side of the world but we can surely call for a passionate manager?

If I had to throw any name out there, I'd bloody love Gary Rowett. Guy has done an unbelievable job at Brum and after listening to him speak about management and his approach I found him to be one of the most impressive managers I've heard for a long time and he's already got experience of working at a circus... PERFECT.

Can't pay the compo to release him. Can't attract him with a transfer budget. And Rowett has done a similar job to what Bowyer did early on with us.

I don't disagree at all.

Don't forget our global advisor. Berg sacking was his doing.

It is the manager. He's signed close to 35 players. How many more will he need to get us up - another 100/150?

Ouch. I didn't enjoy reading that.

From what I've read there are some posters whose opinions deserve respect who thought we were rubbish last night. However, given that the prevailing mood on here 24 hours ago was that we would be beaten, shouldn't there be a bit less sackcloth and ashes and a bit more satisfaction that we salvaged a point at the death despite apparently not playing well?

I honestly don't know the answer to this, but how much has he spent? I would hazard a guess that he has brought in a lot more than has been able to spend. He had to pick up the shebby disaster, work through Shaw cocking it up and now the embargo.

IMO they were god awful for 25 minutes, then got into the game and could have won it. Big worry is our best form of attack is a long throw or dead ball.

It's all about expectations too, if you expect us to go up you will be dissapointed. If you think we will stay in the league then not as much.
