unsall Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 You know what I mean. We haven't a pot to p*ss in so to speak, the man is an ex-youth coach, and the ambition seems to be to tread water this season, so you would think the sensible solution is to play some of them from the start. Give them a proper chance of they are good enough for cameos. 10 minutes at the end of a game isn't giving them a chance and neither is buying average players or loaning other teams youth prospects to be higher than them in the pecking order. Raya will show this season what youth can do if given a real chance.. __________________ Anyhow. Does anyone know if our established quota has hit the 24 max? As that would give us no room to manoeuvre....I assume. . We are on 23 now,1 place left..
BigBar Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 By the way i agree the defence has been weak but i think its a team thing not just the back 4 and keeper..with proper organisation and tactics i think we could be alot harder to beat and could stop conceeding the softest goals ive seen in years..its like pinball in our box most weeks..just missing those whacky sounds 'bing pong dink erk boink....goal'... Killa, Hanley and Duffy should be a match for most strikers in this divison...how many times have the oppositions midfileders been allowed to waltz into our box and put one away unchallenged...
Rover_Shaun Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 . We are on 23 now,1 place left.. Cheers Unsall. Good to know we have some wiggle room still
imy9 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Cheers Unsall. Good to know we have some wiggle room still Apparently looking for another striker. So maybe not for too much longer.
Rover_Shaun Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I still feel we've one too many average midfielders. Another CB wouldn't go amiss (injury and loss of form)
patrickvalery Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 While I don't mind this signing (in fact I'm quite excited by it), why on Earth are we not using our own supposedly up and coming players? O'Sullivan must have walked into Bowyer's house on his birthday, snogged his wife and whizzed on his kids! I don't think he snogged his wife Mike. But I believe he gave it a right good go and that impressed our Gary.
Neal Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 what are we upto now with squad numbers ? Christ mate, you need only scroll up!
AllRoverAsia Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 . We are on 23 now,1 place left.. Can I have it! I'm 63, got a corn on the sole of my left foot and wear specs. Can't seem to run as fast as 40 years ago but I can still pass a ball better than feckin Lowe and could still score more than Brown. I'm probably over qualified.
adsfortheblues Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Crikey Andre Gray £9million to Burnley, very good signing for them.
Neal Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Crikey Andre Gray £9million to Burnley, very good signing for them. Watched them a few times this season and looked very toothless, this signing could turn it round for them this season. A lot of money though.
savage90 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Burnley have never been short of good firepower at this level. Although it rarely helps them much.
BlooBoy Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Watched them a few times this season and looked very toothless, this signing could turn it round for them this season. A lot of money though. If he does a "Rhodes" and keeps them up ..money worth spent plus a good re sale profit ta boot !
Rover_Shaun Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Burnley have never been short of good firepower at this level. Although it rarely helps them much.Yep. After all who wants promotion....twice? Tsk!I'm not sure if you are being ironic
had.e.nuff Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Crikey Andre Gray £9million to Burnley, very good signing for them. Why did they not gamble and spend that last year
DanielMB Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Im suspecting the reason why GB is not looking at a defender is because he is intent on making the Hanley Duffy partnership work. He will probably give them most games and then have Kilgallon and Lenihan as backup
Waggy76 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Why did they not gamble and spend that last year Thats exactly the question , I would be asking ...
rovers11 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 So, according to Nicko we are in talks with a championship club about signing one of their strikers. Clues so far: He's English and Nicko rates him (he must be good then as Nicko rarely gives any praise to Rovers!). Let the guessing games begin. Name revealed tomorrow morning, let's see if anyone can guess correctly.

DavidMailsTightPerm Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Charlie Austin. Though 0% chance - that would be priceless
davulsukur Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Nicko rarely gives any praise to Rovers! Kean was a "gem" Nicko can **** right off.
