roverandout Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 His record is 1 in 4, still better than browns, 0 in 20 odd
tomphil Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Must admit I do like the sound of Vaughan player wise but 33 aps in his first season at Hudds then signs permanent and only 50 apps since 2013, bit worrying. We don't want to be going down the road of finding a home and a contract for some agents crocks again. On a Dunny type deal I suppose it's worth it but anything else is a big gamble. Risky letting Shaw loose on these types of deals.
SoldierMo Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Dont need more crocks Brown is injured most of the time get rid taking up extra space
ABBEY Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 We do love bringing in crocks. You missed an o in the word crocks
chris_h Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 We do love bringing in crocks.I seem to remember Vaughan bursting a blood vessel in his foot playing for Everton. I think he shot at goal and as his foot followed through he kicked the bottom of a defender's boot.He appears to be a decent player who finds all sorts of ways to get injured.
blueboy3333 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 You missed an o in the word crocks O'Crocks? Corocks? Croocks?
AllRoverAsia Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 You missed an o in the word crocks Surely there is no 'r' in tool
Neal Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Vaughan would be a superb signing but can't see how that works out.
Backroom DE. Posted August 22, 2015 Backroom Posted August 22, 2015 He gets transferred from their medical room to ours. The savings they make would negate the need for a transfer fee.
StaffordRover Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Do we still owe Huddersfield cash for the Rhodes sale? Theoretically if they are keen to get him off the payroll now, could they choose to write some if this off (as we are going to take on his salary) and terminate Vaughan's contract by mutual agreement if he is willing to forego any severance payment. In that scenario could we then sign him on a free with terms that are better than what he is currently on but wthin the max we can offer him. I appreciate it's all a bit tenuous but a possible way to make all the dots join.
thenodrog Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Did anyone still going on about the wolves goal celebrate "the hand of Wilcox" at Newcastle or any of the dives that resulted in penalties when Duff dived ? Would you celebrate a dodgy goal v nobbers or the dingles Didn't Derbyshire do that too?
thenodrog Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 That's because we had at least 2 players stood in an offside position when the free kick was taken. I was level with it and shouting - the thick @#/?s were 2 yards offside waiting for the kick to be taken. That disallowed goal would likely have been OK at Anfield.
Butty Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Didn't Derbyshire do that too? Was pedersen who did it in a 1-0 win at Newcastle, Derbyshire scored there in a different season in a win up there.
thenodrog Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Gordons not done a bad job trying to divert peoples attentions away from the real issues we face on the playing side You have to ask the question, considering his Venkys epiphany, is he on the payroll? If not why does he now see them as decent owners when in the Jack Walker thread back in 2013, page 2, he's talking about murdering them! Strange Gav you get virtually everything wrong from football to politics. People who live in glass houses? btw... I see that intellectual derelict is still liking any and all posts criticising me and my opinions. What's it like in your ward athlete? Any cuckoos flow past lately? Do you mean this experience? Steele’s attempted clearance ricochetted off Luciano Becchio into the net to make it 2-0 I think both Steele and Eastwood is at best mediocre. Raya is still young but can be a lot better than the pair of them. The goal vs Cardiff was not solely his fault. Lowe lost a challenge and the centre half gave away space in the middle much like against Wolves. However if Raya is supposed to be a top keeper he will need to deal with this setback. Mental strength is probably the most important skill for keeper. Yes it was. In fact he held his hand up to his teammates. Passing to a marked defender on the centre edge of your area is sloppy, casual and careless. I trust he'll learn from it.
Gav Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Gav you get virtually everything wrong from football to politics. People who live in glass houses? You're still my No1 Gordon
Backroom Mike E Posted August 22, 2015 Backroom Posted August 22, 2015 Was pedersen who did it in a 1-0 win at Newcastle, Derbyshire scored there in a different season in a win up there. And Matt's was a cracking goal, not a header let alone a handball.
