Jordan Rhodes ineptitude at playing up top on his own forces the 4-4-2 formation.

What is your problem with JR

FFS! Do you have problem understanding the written word? My point surely shouldn't need further explanation to even the thickest of the thick!

Then again Athlete it is you that I'm having to deal with.

He's better with someone at his side or with service he scores goals end of.. But for some on here the golfer included it isn't good enough

Some on here...... His managers in Blackburn and Scotland........and virtually every manager in the league above. In fact any decent manager would tell you it isn't enough.

We never exactly seem to prosper when he's out though to be fair.

Tbh, we were need another signing tbh.

We have only 1 space left in 24 man squad.

Unless its a unbelieve player who will improve our squad massive or a couple of players leave then I wouldnt looking to sign any more.

We could definitely use another centre half Chaddy.

Rhodes refused to carry his golf clubs

Our "new" strikers are miles better are they not ?

Sigh

It used to be.

Now it's about a coach pretending to be a manager and being paid extremely well to, hopefully but as yet unproven, learn on the job.

Amazingly in Rhodes we are blessed to have a born goalscorer who can still bang them in despite the best endeavours of Bowyer to set teams up to nullify his gift.

Anyone who thinks that Rhodes is 'inept' needs to give their head a serious wobble. We would already be in L1 without him.

Wrong

I think we showed last season that it is also about stopping the opposition putting the ball in the net.

Right.

..................

Actually it's about having better "players" than the opposition. That's what the top managers are trying to accumulate. From there results under a good manager should follow. Having Jordan Rhodes in your team - as we all know - doesn't guarantee anything.

And yet Bruce & Karanka were willing to pay eight-figure sums for his services, den.

Dens backed himself into a corner over Rhodes.

His goal scoring record is the envy of every manager in this league and a few in the Premiership that can't quite afford him. For a supporter of 2015 Blackburn Rovers to think he's not good enough for us is living in cloud cuckoo land, and once he goes we'll see just how valuable he was.

Its madness to even be debating it

Bruce - yeah. Karanka's in our league isn't he?

Interestingly I heard a comment from Bruce not long ago. He said that a team is only as good as its strikers. That says two things to me, firstly that he's wrong and secondly it explains why he's had little real success as a manager. It also explains why he wanted Jordan.

Dens absolutely right Gav. It was madness staking all that money on him. It's got us nowhere. Totally wasted. Now that money used to bring in half a team who could contribute for a full 90 minutes every game would have made us a far better side. Without Bowyer mind.
