Lowe won't be back for months. My guess on the order of back up centre backs:-

1) killer

2) Lenihan

3) Spurr

Even if Lowe became available you'd need a real crisis (like we had last year) for him to come in.

In really not keen on the idea of Spurr playing in there at all, or Killer and Lenihan playing together, but killer or Lenihan slotting in beside Duffy or Hanley should be okay.

Spurr would be ahead of Lenihan i would say (in Bowyers eyes, not mine)

Spurr filled in at centre-back towards the end of last season and did alright.

I'd rather see him there than at full-back, where I think his lack of pace hurts us.

It was a joke!

No comment on here for three weeks. Why in Gods name are we not moving heaven and earth to get a striker in on loan? There must be someone out there. Not asking for the next shearer, just someone who has scored a few goals in their career or a promising youngster?

It's absurd to have one fit proper striker available. Laurence is a good player but no striker. Delfie is neither a good player nor a striker.

We'll probably end up with another centre midfielder.

Bowyer is looking for one but its very tough to trying to bring in with that club possible wanting a loan fee(which we cant pay) or alot of PL teams not loaning players out

Just like the right back spot it's something that we've been crying out for for two seasons, we needed back up from a slighty different type of striker even when Gestede was here. Plenty players have come and gone since then so it could have been addressed before we sleep walked into the embargo but this lot just pished about with midfielders and effin Brown & Varney.

Planning ? er,..no. Rebuilding ? What exactly. Gap plugging for the sake of it ? Oh yes.

It's really annoying that we managed to get in some decent midfielders finally, but as soon as we plug that gaping hole we open up another huge one.

No point having all the pieces of the jigsaw if the person in charge can't put them together.

He doesn't have all the pieces despite 36 signings.

Plus GB has said he looking but its tough cos of Wages plus loan fees

If he offloads a player or two that doesn't contribute the door should open surely.

I'm on a smart phone. Its the only way i can get the end of a thread without having to click through about 30 odd pages..

Click on the login screen and the click mark all as read

you seem to post this a lot.. :P

He's been asked to stop doing it.

Maybe he could click 'Next' like every other poster on this site and read posts instead of trying to get to the end of each thread. For what reason he needs to fast forward to the end of a thread, goodness knows.

Given his content it seems he just likes to wind people up. We used to have rules about that sort of thing.

If you have been at the Q and A session or read the LT you would know that we need a sale around 5 million pounds to get this embargo lift.

Thats means selling a key player, for me I wouldnt be selling key players in January. Wait till the summer is much better.
