You should have ridiculed him, people have short memories....

Indeed. Spurs away springs to mind immediately... comfortably the worst example of tactics and gameplan I have ever seen.

Another delusional post

Another quality retort from yourself.

Oh and Topman, Hanley was my MOM, yes he probably should have gone for hacking down Wellington but his overall performance was commanding. I thought Duffy was also excellent.

On a related issue, it is possible to consider or make an opinion on something without it being either 1. Attacking the manager or 2. Defending the manager?

I thought that there was a lot to take from tonight, especially considering the apparent pressure. If I was going to start dissecting or being critical my first port of call would be Marshall who was rightfully substituted.

Yes, Bolton looked distinctly average but they where organised enough at set pieces to stop a few chances. Duffy or Rhodes should have scored at least one IMO.

One positive tonight: Duffy was outstanding I thought. Conway also very good. Guthrie looked decent when he came on too. Evans did well.

As I've said before, we have good enough players to finish mid table, but we have no style of play. You cant lump it forward and hope for a lucky break. We have two of the best wingers in this league and the best striker. By lumping it forward we're taking our best players out of the game.

Lowe was appalling again.

Purely as a tactician, does Bowyer even compare?

Let me emphasise, Kean is scum and I hope he dies a long and painful death.

Even making the comparison is wrong beans in my opinion, but i understand your frustration.

Not really making a comparison.

Just struggling to find anything concrete to say bowyer sets us up better.

I wouldn't have even brought it up. But I was shocked by the realisation of what we fans are subjected to and how doomed we are

Well, that was complete rubbish, the worst I've seen Rovers play since Appleton. I honestly feel sorry for any neutral viewers. Absolutely no team shape at all, which partly comes down to the constant switching of central midfield personel, partly to Lowe's and Evan's complete lack of positional sense, and partly to the constant hoofing or blindly running forward with the ball. Some decent individual performances (Raya, Conway, Hanley, Duffy, Koita in spots) but everyone seemed to be playing in a vacuum.

This current side is probably the worst I've evef seen, I cannot recall a worse side in all my time watch us and I'm not exaggerating either.

You can probably pick out positives here and positives there but quite simply that was absolutely shocking.

Bolton are worse than us! So hopefully we have 2 more sides also worse than us or we're going down.

It's going to be a long hard season.

But we have the worst manager of all !

Bowyer is out of his depth working with poor players In my opinion, to expect anything better is pure fantasy for me.

You could well be right mercer.

I reckon Fergie would struggle to get a win with this lot, they're just poor players, journeymen, not good enough.

That Bolton attack is completely toothless. Our centre halves played well, but I dare say that will be the easiest game they'll play this season. I also think that Wellington Silva is perhaps more one footed than David Jones, if such a thing is possible.

And Marshall doesn't deserve to keep his place in the team, if it's picked on merit.

They were awful and we only slightly less awful.

Over 2 years down the line and Gaz has Lowe and Evans in centre midfield, do you think that is a good enough centre midfield for this league? Is it good enough for a promotion push? The answer to that is probably no. People are conning themselves trying to take positives out of that when Bolton are that bad. Other teams in this league would've absolutely murdered us. Also people talking about the centre half partnership, fair play they kept a clean sheet but Madine and Heskey aren't good enough for league 2.

He needs to walk.

BOWYER OUT.

I reckon you should add the backroom and academy coaches to that too! How many times have we heard Bowyer go on about working hard on the training ground?? Absolute @#/?!

Spot on.

I have been saying for a long time that, IMV, Bowyer has dumbed down our football structure to an unbelievably low level.

That was utterly vile.

An affront to the shirt.

Got lucky on the penalty not given to Notlob.

Even with our limited players, GB picked a side designed not to win, set it up not to win and it duly obliged.

Maybe he's looking to be sacked, perhaps he's just had enough and if, as the Guardian are reporting tonight, that the owners

are drawing up a short list, he won't have to wait long.

Out of his depth, poor players absolutely right.

When he's had decent players and a free reign on transfers, he's still looked out of his depth.

Conclusion? He should stay ?
