Every striker could say that. Also yesterday he did have some decent service. Lots of good balls into the box, and he missed hitting the target with a relatively simple header. If he isn't going to do the spade work and actually make things happen then he has to take virtually every chance that comes his way. By his standards he is having a lean spell there is no question about that and when JR isn't scoring we are effectively down to 10 men. With delfouneso and koite looking lively he has to watch out for his place, GB has to pick his two best form strikers which he hasn't done in the past for whatever reason :glare: Also has Marshall with Lawrence and Conway for me in current pole position.

He wasn't good and he wasn't poor. Average energetic performance sprinkled with a few good things and a few bad ones. The ones I chose to mention were stand out poor. If what you say is kosher then it seems our opinion varies only on Jason Lowe. As far as I can see you like others have contracted the musthateaplayer virus, whilst I appear to be immune. I say what I see and have no wish to be part of the angry mob hanging party.

ha ha Delfons......anyone can look lively but the guy is utter garbage he did one good thing last night turned his man then with 2 players in open space to his left hit the ball closer to the corner flag...

Koite is lively but is still dining out on that fantastic goal in Monaco check his record ....he's like an old fashioned type division four player hits the ball and chases it at pelt no skill or ball control whatsoever

I'm sure accrington would take Koita based on last night alone. He won nearly every header, most balls forward go him stuck initially and he created a few chances moving the ball left and right.

Is it a coincidence that he made a hash of his best chance, that you'd say that Athlete? I think not.

I've likened Koite to a black Kuqi but from what I've seen he is better than Shefki. He does make things happen.

As for Delfouneso if he did just one good thing last night then he is in front of Rhodes and Marshall. ... actually in fairness to JR he did one good thing and spotted and played a great first time ball out to the left wing in the 2nd half, unfortunately he slightly over hit it and it went out of play.

WUM

Pray do tell, do you ever post anything that doesn't contain an insult to someone whose opinion doesn't tally up with yours?

NOT TRUE EVEN UNDER HIS FAVOURITE EXCUSE FFP ....how many players have we signed ???? yes some of these players other championship clubs would give their right arm for...

VENKYS OUT

MYERS OUT

BOWYER OUT

SHAW OUT

EVERY HANGER ON OUT

Players signed on frees, no money paid for them. I can't think of one player signed other clubs would give their right arm for, which ones were you thinking?

why are you picking only on rhodes when the big lump missed an open goal.

Re Delphy I was criticised for "writing him off after only one game".

Why waste time?

Because the big lump did at least join in, put himself about and broke sweat.

Bad miss for sure but not quite as bad as heskeys though.

Horrible display. I thought we loomed like 11 stand alo e individuals, certainly not a team. Did we ever string 3 passes together. I know Abbey don't like him but I thought Koita gave us some energy that we were seriously lacking up front. I would not call it an open goal either, granted he should be hitting the target but there was plenty of bodies and looked like he was going for the top of the goal to avoid the bodies. Shame about his first touch.

Lowe, what is it he does, he runs around staying just out of reach of the ball never seems to even pressure the man on the ball he's just there.

Why did Bowyer go with that line up at home. Better the devil you know? Playing like we are with Bowyer not even trying to take the game to them at home preferri g to be cautious it all points to relegation fodder. At least we kept a clean sheet albeit against a team who can mot score and had it not been for Duffy Donkey Heskey would have had his obligatory goal. We truly are atrocious.

Ben Marshall looks like he left Ewood some time ago. Looks lime he does not want to be here.

Guthrie looks like he has already lost what he might have had, supremely de-motivated by Bowyer picking Lowe ahead of him I'm sure. Im sure he figures what's the point GB gon a pick JL no matter what. Has Bowyer even once benched lowe.

Change needs to be made in the next day or so and a QUALIFIED manager brought in or we are watching league one footy next seaso

we absolutely should have won last night...

Bolton were pretty poor and I thought they didn't really offer much threat which left me feeling like it was a missed opportunity to pick up our first win of the season...

Did anyone feel it was full of scrappy little incidents of tripping players up and general clumsy challenges? Turd to watch...

For me, Steele should be starting, Guthrie over Lowe/Evans and Barrow should have been given longer to test them with his pace, I thought they would have struggled to cope with that...

Cant be doing with Bowyers after match comments any longer, he just isn't an inspirational leader...

not a case of not liking him more a case of there is no excuse for a pro player to blaze in row Z from the six yard line or having the first touch of a hippo.

Have you always been this impatient with new signings? Genuine question.

Players need time to gel, they do need at least a few games to get into the rhythm!

By all means 'he's had a bad game', 'he hasn't impressed me so far', but to decide people are useless after one game, I'll be honest is pathetic. Imagine if Shearer had a poor debut!!!

Kiota certainly livened us up when he came on as he has done a few times. My mate who's started a new job so has lost touch with what's going on this season came for the first time last night, turned to me and said "don't tell me he's started playing a centre half up front are we that desperate" after he watched Koita for 5 mins. Think that probably sums him up

No I don't usually. He was just so appallingly bad, I couldn't see any future for him. After 5, am I wrong?

As for the Shearer comparison, that fails on all levels! Laughed out loud at that one!

I'd say you were wrong yes, but I'll agree to disagree. He's scored a couple of goals already, so obviously already more useful than Brown and Varney!!

Yet still 100% appropriate IMV :)

Delfouneso is what he is - technically a very limited footballer, but he runs around a lot. We're picking up a lot of players like this. It's the reason we have hardly any creativity in the team and why we never get behind the opposition defence.

Delfouneso does the odd decent thing and will probably get around 5/6 goals, but he just isn't a threat and must be really easy to mark. Koita has more of a presence about him and, given a run of games rather than 30 mins here and a half there, he'd get a few goals.

I'm struggling to come to terms with people arguing that we should keep the man who's taken us into the bottom 3 because if he gets sacked, we may appoint somebody worse.

It's just surreal, there's no other word for it.

It's utterly pathetic. Yet they think they're the "real" fans? Don't "real" fans want better?

+1 I completely agree.

We need a new manager, we need to take a risk!

Bowyer has lost it now... Too negative at home... Playing 4-4-2 with 2 holding CM's (the team is hamstrung by carrying Lowe) isn't going to offer anything in the way of an attack.

Bolton did their best to stifle us yesterday and it worked... Playing deep with 2 DCM leaves too big of a gap between midfield and the forward line.

This means there is too much of a reliance on Conway and Marshall on the wing to cross into the box (which was the approach yesterday) which defenders will deal with!

I see a real rawness to Koita but there is ability... Much like Gestede in the first few games...

What we can see from him already is that he has strength, pace, confidence and one helluva rasping shot on him!

Fingers crossed!

Marshall did not have a good game but is getting some unfair (IMO) slagging on here. We've played 5 games ad he's been at right back, on the (wrong) wing and stuck in some invisible hole plus Subbed.

He will be more totally and utterly confused than anything else.

Hats off to him if he did not acknowledge Smirker Bowyer when subbed.
