Just had a quick flick through the last few pages, we have a couple of people saying Bowyers that bad they'd appoint Short, which quite frankly is ludicrous, he's less experience than Bowyer, wake up!

Then we have a few others trying to say certain players did the odd thing good, Jesus wept, that's possibly the worst performance I've seen by a Rovers side at Ewood in a very long time. It says everything you need to know when the whole stadium clapped and cheered a cross!

We look every bit a side that's has its heart ripped out and replaced with cheap cast offs that nobody else wants.

These ******* owners have almost killed this football club, I really feel we have every chance of going down this season, that last night was pathetic.

It's quite simple I know what I'm talking about Simon. :tu: You question my judgement how about yours? You really rated John Curtis who left us for a career tramping around the lower divisions and better still you tried to convince us all that we should have binned off Brad Friedel in 2004!

btw it's currently Delfouneso 2 Rhodes 0 isn't it? ^_^

Indeed it is Gordon, albeit Rhodes had been restricted to two and a bit games due to injury.

I'm not sure I'd be relying on stats to back up my argument though, a quick search on Wiki indicates ND has only scored 16 goals in his entire career since 2008. Last season he registered 3 times in 38 appearances for Blackpool. I'd expect a similar ratio from him this season if we're unfortunate enough to witness him lumbering about that many times.

Let's see who's scored what come the end of the season eh?

Not saying I would definitely appoint Short but I hardly think it's "ludicrous" to suggest he replace GB. How could he possibly do any worse?

He could do worse yes, he's a novice, we need experience, we have to learn from mistakes not keep making them.

If you're saying "Replace him with an experienced manager" I agree. (Although being good is better than experience per se imo)

If you're saying there's no point replacing him because no-one could do any better or the powers that be might pick someone worse, I disagree

Well yeah Den, but I don't even know what the answer is any more :-(

:)

I don't know what the question is anymore KH. The whole lot of 'em have got me beat.

I think basically the footballing no nowt owners make all the decisions, while the rest of 'em are too scared to tell 'em anything they might not like.

Don't think I'm too far off with that.

Neal

Please reread my post.

You are so negative in everything you write that you fail to understand a simple balanced post.

Ok then, here are some positives... Clean sheet for back 4 and keeper and Koita looked decent (IMO).

Negatives:

No faith in new signings

Failed to beat poor Bolton side and could have lost

In possible relegation battle

Rhodes ad Marsh visibly don't want to play for him

Still persists with Jason (Anti Football) Lowe in centre midfield

Over 2 seasons and still doesn't know his best 11

No style or method of play

No leaders on and off the pitch

Has lost the fans

If you still want to blindly crack on with blind faith in Bowyer then I envy you, I wish I could do the same but I can't because I care too much to watch us dissolve into nothingness under this fella because thats what we are... Nothing, void of style, method, boring, beige but if thats acceptable to you then you're not a Blackburn Rovers fan in my eyes.

Not negative, i'm just saying what I see and being honest.

I'm struggling to come to terms with people arguing that we should keep the man who's taken us into the bottom 3 because if he gets sacked, we may appoint somebody worse.

It's just surreal, there's no other word for it.

Because we have only played 4 games. This is the same manager that took us to 9th and 11th. We have weakened the squad, we were only going one way.

Bottom 3 at November/Christmas and he should go.

We've played 5 games, and your third sentence shows exactly why we needed a better manager. Bowyer couldn't get a consistent performance out of a decent squad, so as you say, it was only going one way once the squad became weaker. Bowyer had two shots at getting us up with a good Championship squad and blew it. Now some are essentially advocating allowing him to take us into a relegation battle!

Never believed we have had a squad to go back up since we came down, but that's just my opinion.

We bought 8 Portuguese players for god's sake. Think people are forgetting what's happened at the club. Change the manager and all will not be rosy in the garden again.

We have more players in the squad that were relegated out this league than promoted out of it.

Nobody is saying all will be rosy in the garden if we change manager. A lot of people simply don't have faith Bowyer will keep us up with the current squad - and if you do feel that way, and the first 6 games (Shrewsbury included) suggest it's a justified belief - you'd have to be stupid not to want change immediately.

Obviously, if you believe Bowyer can keep us up then I can understand wanting to give more time. I just don't understand what part of his management people think will save us! Tactics? Motivation? Inspiration? Team selection? Style of play?

Anything?

Yeah I can totally see your point. I do think he can 'drag' us to 12th-17th, it won't be pretty and not much fun. But with the quality of squad we have I think that's about par.

We still create chances, that's my hope. And we have definitely got tighter at the back. If either of those change then I would struggle to defend him.

No. It's 1-0 actually.

Career wise it's 24-171

Quality of the squad??.

What's the difference between the team on the pitch and the one that went on a good run towards then end of last season.

Gestede. That's it.

And Cairney. Arguably our two most effective attackers. We have not replaced them with quality.

Not correct. Cairney only started 1 of the last 8.

He had been dropped by Bowyer so we can't start using him as an excuse for Bowyers inadequacies now.
