[Archived] Bowyer Most Likely Not Sacked

Recommended Posts

You've misunderstood the point of my post.

I'm aware he's working in adverse conditions - the point is he's not good enough to handle those conditions, as proven by the previous 2 years where he had a good team and failed to get anything out of them. That's why to any "detractors" the circumstances are irrelevant - he shouldn't be in the position in the first place, and circumstances make it even more important he is replaced by a better manager before it's too late.

Since he took over he has signed 36 players, had probably one of the largest budgets in the Division for the most part, been in the top 6 for an hour , cant decide who his best 11 are, is tactically inept , cant get a team to defend, probably as unfit a team as any we come up against and talks in superlatives about bang average performances.

He gets paid about £600k a year to do his job and though he is no doubt a thoroughly pleasant guy this simply isn't working and it is doubtful he will get any more of a tune out of his players than we have seen so far.

The biggest shock is if they are considering his position then why wait until a week before the window closes having allowed Bowyer to fill up his squad places with utter no marks???

The shambles that is Blackburn Rovers these days.

Whichever way you look at the GB scenario what happened or didn't happen it looks like he's past the point of no return.

If I was in his position I'd walk with my head held high and in time reveal my personal feelings on the goings on at BRFC

I'll get his coat and hail a taxi...TAXI

Another thread turning towards tiresome squabbles.

Surely using the PM option would be better all round.

Back to GB, his latest LET interview shows he's certainly confident and unconcerned.

He probably isn't feeling any heat from his 'line manager' (that's all Shaw is).

Maybe it's time to really voice our dissatisfaction on Match Days.

Strange how the chap who wrote it was at PNE on Saturday. I wonder what or who gave him the notion that a sacking may be under serious consideration. Not like anyone at our club could have been in contact with mates at weepdale or anything is it

Business as usual mate...that's message I got last night!!

Sounds bad as the LT reported it this morning. But Chaddy can confirm our convo yesterday evening.

If I'm honest...I think there is something bubbling in Pune from the stuff that Kamy and Glen have said...But the staff don't know anything about it.

What do you want me to say mate. I was outed on here (as we all know) so you know my links. But what you're asking is for me to diminish the name of a club legend and a friend in order to back myself up?

I actually release LOADS of info on here about what I know mate. Some of it reading between the lines of my post. Other bits through other members in an indirect way.

As this is (Another) Bowyer topic and your info implies Bowyer was the wronged party then an outline would help. Because your resistance to enlarge is also making your "friend" look bad.

How so? Genuinely....

I was asking the reader if he wanted me to bad mouth Dunny!? But I've already clarified above that there's nothing to bad mouth him about? So I don't get your point mate?

Apologies, it has been deleted...just a disagreement between two men. Simple. No cowardice. Dunny loves the club and wanted to play more. The manager thought he had better options

I found that odd too.

Unless the Journo was/is :

1. Under pressure from his own bosses for an exclusive story.

2. Covers all Lancashire clubs for the Sun- and wrote a 'flier.'

3. A Rovers fan

4. Covers all Lancashire clubs for the Sun

5. Like you say; had a tip off at Deepdale

That's my hope.

Current staff (~where I have a contact) will definitely be the last to know.

Exactly true.

And dya know something pal, if they had the right man lined up and my info cut tomorrow I'd be 100% made up!! Genuinely.

It's pretty obvious something went on and was leaked for a reason.. There's too much of this at BRFC and until a clean sweep from the owners to the manager is made things won't get better they only carry on the soap opera but it keeps us entertained

That's my hope (Pune is in motion to remove GB.

True but the leak came out

They (Venky's) will most certainly be fuming about the leak.

Crucial thing is that what do they do next? Keep Gary or not? Does he just have until the Bolton game or will they give him longer?

What the Sun story has done is made fans believe that Gary's position is under threat, even though what fans say/do won't have any bearing on Venky's decision if Gary is incharge on Friday there could be a toxic atmosphere if we fall behind and with the Sky camera there no doubt that the media will brand our fans as "moaners" and dig up the Kean stuff.

Will they really be fuming. I get the impression they really don't care one bit about the club. All they probably see is £ leaving their pockets. It's not like they come over and ask what the hell is going on. You'd think one of them would become active within the club.

Does anybody know when they where last here and for how long

I'm pretty sure it came from somewhere close to Venkys. Staff not a clue...

Or certainly didn't as of last night!! You're also forgetting it could be a huge lie written by the Sun?

But you're just speculating that this was the case with Dunny. Just because Dunn had the hump with Bowyer doesn't mean he was left out for non footballing reasons. We have plenty to beat Bowyer with as it is, without jumping to conclusions based on assumptions. I believe Dunny played well at Charlton in the cup, I wasn't there, but in the games I did see him play, I wouldn't have been picking him either, to be honest.

Every dog has its day. Kenny pretty much did the same with Garner after he arrived at the club, was that because he got caught smoking in the player's lounge or because his best days were behind him? Obviously the latter, but if this MB had been in existence back then, it would have been the former, without a doubt lol.

But your conclusion is based on your assumption. Given the lack of conclusive evidence it comes down to what you believe.

Did you see the Ipswich game at Ewood? Dunn was terrific for the time he was on and played what I considered to be the two best passes of the season. That said I wouldn't have given him the extra 12 months that Bowyer did.
