Rover_Shaun Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Garner was let go because we were signing better. Dunn was still the best midfielder non the clubs books.....if injury prone.

Rover_Shaun Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Sorry. To clarify; 1st team staff will be the last to know anything. I thankfully have no connection to the board or office staff at Ewood. I have a horrible feeling it's all nothing and he'll be here at Xmas bemoaning missed chances, the fact shearer is missing from the team, the officials and the 3 new players in the starting xi who have yet to train more than 100 days due to fuxture pileup
oldjamfan1 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Garner was let go because we were signing better. Dunn was still the best midfielder non the clubs books.....if injury prone. I wasn't making an analogy between the two situations mate, it was a slightly tongue-in-cheek observation about the 'group think' mentality of this message board. But in terms of Dunn, 'was' is the most important word in your sentence.
A cup of beans Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Or certainly didn't as of last night!! You're also forgetting it could be a huge lie written by the Sun? Maybe it's me and im getting carried away amid all this forlorn hope GB will be potted. (Not dismissing Kammy's explanation) It seems an usual chain of events (maybe the Sun doing some arse covering). I wouldn't think we mattered enough (outside of us fans) for a lie to be thought of/ justified ?
Rover_Shaun Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 But in terms of Dunn, 'was' is the most important word in your sentence. As in he was the best midfielder on the clubs books last season. Yes I also agree. And I agree your analogy was poor
yoda Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Ok come guys enough of this arguing with each other. does Brockhall know it has a whistleblower ? Don't think it is Brockhall this time I think Brockhall knows that it has a number of whistleblowers! Business as usual mate...that's message I got last night!! Sounds bad as the LT reported it this morning. But Chaddy can confirm our convo yesterday evening. If I'm honest...I think there is something bubbling in Pune from the stuff that Kamy and Glen have said...But the staff don't know anything about it. The litigation case ! Exactly true. And dya know something pal, if they had the right man lined up and my info cut tomorrow I'd be 100% made up!! Genuinely. Not lined up a few days ago as the "leak" is external I'm pretty sure it came from somewhere close to Venkys. Staff not a clue... Or certainly didn't as of last night!! You're also forgetting it could be a huge lie written by the Sun? Try further southern England, someone @#/? about a possibility of litigation and connections with the Sun and Sky, someone who cannot be named
OJRovers Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 For me, it's about working out when the club is going to be at the bottom of its decline. Bowyer has done well in managing the chaos in this decline, but now is the time to see improvements. Some say that the natural level of the club is League One, but the club has owners who are putting in £20m a season. That is way beyond every club in League One. We are told that costs have been stripped back. So even without parachute payments £20m a season SHOULD give a platform to challenge the top 6. There are plenty of clubs reaching plays-offs on a much lower budget. It's simple really, if Venkys want to put £20m a season in, they rightly should expect a better performance than they are currently getting, anyone they speak to will tell them that. Bowyer has not done much to show he is capable of delivering this. To replace Bowyer with a credible replacement and staff would be a big step forward for Venkys. Unfortanately they are yet to make a sensible decision in 5 years, so i'm not holding my breath.
Mercer Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 If Bowyer is going to go today it will be announced between 4 and 5 pm today when the Indians have gone to bed and not contactable !

Gav Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Cup of beans broke the Raul story a few years back, nobody knew about that, not even Kamy. What we'd do for a Raul now
Rover_Shaun Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Some say that the natural level of the club is League One, but the club has owners who are putting in £20m a season. That is way beyond every club in League One.Who? The club had spent 5 seasons in tier 3 in it's 140 year history
Backroom DE. Posted August 24, 2015 Backroom Posted August 24, 2015 Cup of beans broke the Raul story a few years back, nobody knew about that, not even Kamy. What we'd do for a Raul now I'd take Fat Ronaldo at this point.

Not lined up a few days ago as the "leak" is external Try further southern England, someone @#/? about a possibility of litigation and connections with the Sun and Sky, someone who cannot be named Do you know any details of the litigation case? Is the link to he who cannot be named a hunch or anything you've heard?
Mani Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 But your conclusion is based on your assumption. Given the lack of conclusive evidence it comes down to what you believe. Did you see the Ipswich game at Ewood? Dunn was terrific for the time he was on and played what I considered to be the two best passes of the season. That said I wouldn't have given him the extra 12 months that Bowyer did. I don't think it helped last season that they played 442 because you couldn't play Dunny in a 4 IMO.

Not lined up a few days ago as the "leak" is external Try further southern England, someone @#/? about a possibility of litigation and connections with the Sun and Sky, someone who cannot be named Very interesting!! Thought he'd been cast aside by Venkys? Certainly no input in transfers so it would be odd... A plot to de-stabilise the regime who effectively ended his cash flow from Ewood? Or maybe a lying toe rag of a reporter who did "ip dip" with several poor starters and chose us? The lads with the links to V's are your men on this..
roverandout Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Like Tris you should post more. btw Nothing like having points on the board but it's odd and quite revealing that very few of the club's detractors on these pages are prepared to accept that the team is very much changed through both necessity and circumstance and is very much in a state of transistion. You're only saying that because its another pro-bowyer post

chaddyrovers Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Business as usual mate...that's message I got last night!! Sounds bad as the LT reported it this morning. But Chaddy can confirm our convo yesterday evening. If I'm honest...I think there is something bubbling in Pune from the stuff that Kamy and Glen have said...But the staff don't know anything about it. Yes I can confirm that Mani. I think the leak wasnt from someone at Brockhall or Ewood Park but maybe someone who is advising the owners about possible getting their man in as manager.
rovers11 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Let's face it, no-one has a clue what Venkys will do. Even people at the club do not know. Venky's usually do nothing so I expect GB to stay. He has to go though. That's not based on the five games this season, it's based on his inability to drill a team defensively during his whole tenure. We don't have a bad team, it just needs someone to come in and make us organised.
J*B Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Its bloody brilliant that the story breaks whilst Bowyer, the squad and the MDs are all on a plane up from Brighton. None of them know if its true or not, so the staff at Ewood have to ring Pune and find out what the @#/? is happening. How the @#/? can the MDs be sat on a plane and not be sure if the manager has been sacked or not? Tremendous. Yes I can confirm that. Source?
thenodrog Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Meant head held high.... The joys of predictive text Still funny though.
Neal Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I think a major point everyone is missing out on is... If we were to get relegated, who would have faith that Bowyer could get us promoted? I certainly don't, so why should he be good enough to manage us in the championship?
