[Archived] Bowyer Most Likely Not Sacked

Recommended Posts

It wouldn't be the first time would it?

We spent an entire season in the bottom 3 under Kean, faced protests, boycotts, negative press coverage and she didn't sack him.

Who knows whether things will be done differently this time if we're fighting relegation.

Just saying that I'm pretty confident she didn't call up Gaz to give the poor fella some reassurance straight after the game.

Good job I (and my partner in crime) weren't there then, they would have got battered out of sight

lol. Once played 2 saddos in the grapes who thought they were all that. When we were trouncing them they pulled out a can of polish and started spraying the bars, I kid you not. So we carried on pasting them

Blimey, we used to play in the Grapes back in the day as well. Happy days. I can proudly admit that nobody ever carried a can of polish though!

Vulcan, Grapes, Peel, Charles Napier, sometimes Galligreaves and just for spite we used to up to the New Inns,

Always came out smiling from there

Darwen got some special attention occasionally too

:D

ps nearly forgot the Lodestar and the Red House (Wilpshire Hotel) way back

here is Lennon's view on Bowyer and the sacking rumour

And the Rovers boss found an ally in Bolton counterpart Neil Lennon, who was been working under similar financial constraints at the Macron Stadium.

"He's a very good manager and really steadied the ship at Blackburn over the last few years," Lennon said of Bowyer.

"He's working within very limited constraints and they had a very good season last year, I see no reason why they won't improve again as the season goes on.

"I'm glad the (sacking rumour) is not true because it's far too early in the season and I don't think he deserves it anyway."

For the sake of our club, let's hope that is sooner rather than later.Morphing into Kean by the day.

What a ridiculous comment.

He might not be a top class football manager but any reference to Kean is just quite frankly wrong on so many levels.

I often disagree with your sensationalist posts but come on, he does not deserve those type of comparisons

Improve again? Huh?

What is it about Gingas defending lame ducks?

Simply and demonstrably not true that we "had a very good season last year" whatever that means.

This is simply the old boys club in action. Managers supporting managers.

He couldn't care less about Rovers or the facts.

He's no Kean, but I do believe he reads stuff on the internet and makes comments on the basis of that. The terminology of ever so well and had a right good go seems for example seem to be increasingly used.

But lets judge him on results......

My source informed me yesterday that if GB is disposed of that Shebby Singh will be parachuted back onto the scene.

How close is your source to Pune Theno?

It sounds more likely that if anything its scaremongering from those at Ewood, than info from India.
