[Archived] Bowyer Most Likely Not Sacked

Recommended Posts

It would be interesting to compile a list of the top 5 league games. Unfortunately I haven't seen any of them, or I surely would have remembered.

I heard a rumour his name's just Ray.

Better than death ray I suppose

I see a flaw in the Blue blood training post. fourth paragraph from the end when Bowyer shouts Oi Jordan. No way in this world does that sounds correct. Surely that should read Oi Rhodesey. Come on get the facts right Blue blood, we need things to sound realistic.

Alex McLeish on Sky this morning, He'd certainly get more out of our rabble than Bowyer can. He's another who I have touted before, he's had his ups and downs through his career but he's the type we need now. Also went abroad recently and did a decent job with limited resources.

he did very well at Birmingham City. got promoted twice with them.

I think his biggest mistake was going to Villa when he did. didn't stay too long at Forest as manager there around 6 weeks or so.

Bowyer needs results and wins asap I feel to save his job but yet again we just don't know what this season aims are.

bowyer might need a few "results and wins" just to save his job, but we need consistent results and wins right through the season to have any chance of getting out of this turgid league and thats not going to happen under bowyer, he couldn't do it last year with that excellent squad of players so why the hell would anybody believe he can do it this year with a lesser squad when he has shown zero improvement as a manager during his time here and he's seemingly unable to learn from his own mistakes.

Steve Kean was untouchable, then they fired Berg & Appleton in quick succession, now it looks like we've come full circle. Will it take another 'constructive dismissal' for Bowyer to vacate his post or will they surprise us?

I like this argument about how much Bowyer is making them, as if we aren't still making gigantic losses year on year...

(Not aimed at you Gav, just to highlight how ridiculously incompetent they are).

Thing is I believe I know how they think, the 80m makes no difference to them, but perceived 9m profit does, bonkers I know but let's see how long Bowyer lasts, that'll be the real litmus test.

Firstly, Bayes continues to let Gaz get away with murder during these pressers. If you didn't know any better you'd have thought we were progressing well in mid-table. It's an absolute joke. Not one pressing question concerning our plight.

Secondly 'Fulham spent more on deadline day than we have in our whole time here' is just a downright lie, no? I imagine he's talking about Stearman who cost just a few hundred grand more than Duffy alone (stand to be corrected on that but GB's total outlays will certainly be higher).

Edit - I see they signed Ryan Fredericks too but I'd imagine that was a nominal fee.

I'd have said well into the top 6 listening to that pathetic excuse for an interview, time for the BBC to be forced to close local radio and tv stations

and bring the licence fee down to £50 IMO.

Bowyer is just taking the p*ss now, no doubt about that, let's see how cocky he is if we lose the next couple of games.

I can't comment directly on that audio clip above as can't bring myself to listen to him drone on. But recently it's been excuses excuses excuses. He's always been ready with a broadside of them after defeats but he seems to be firing them off even before a ball is kicked these days.

He's a man who clearly knows he's under pressure a man clinging on for personal gratification of being a manager even when he must know in his heart he falls way short of an acceptable manager.

I just pray he works nearly as hard on the training ground on tactics as he does on excuses and we'd genuinely be in a playoff push.

Bowyer was very suprised about the Marshall loan story. He sounded a bit confused as in thinking ''what the hell is that Preston tw** Shelfy up to now''
