I think I read somewhere that he really made use of the time he was out of the game to re-learn and develop new ideas/tactics and fair play to him it has worked.

A manager that I think could potentially do something similar to a 'Pardew renaissance' is Curbishley. I have long been an advocate of Curbishley on this forum, I have posted during several of the managerial gaps we have had that Curbishley could be an option to look at in my opinion. Someone who has been there and done it and is looking to rebuild his career.

Another manager that's been doing this is Brian McDermott. Did a good job at Reading, not so much at Leeds, but that was down to barmy owners. Would he want to go back into a similar situation here? I don't know, but if he went wrong, he could blame Venkys. Anyway, he's been working as Chief Scout for Arsenal since leaving Leeds and could potentially have picked up a thing or two, or at least made some new contacts that could be useful in the loan market and is out of work at the minute. Got to be worth a look if Bowyer gets potted.

I suggested McDermott last season but I think the 'bald nice guy' image is too redolent of Kean for some's liking.

Is Keane not likely to be at the games watching Irish players, I.e. Doing his job? Wow they make up some rubbish these journos.

From a position of no knowledge at all, could I just ask.... Is Chaddyrovers some kind of ITK figure or someone who spends a lot of time online? Just so I know how to react to his posts because he is always hinting at things.

Don't know whether Brighton have any Irish internationals. If they don't then it's unusual that Roy Keane would travel all the way down to Brighton to watch Shane Duffy in a Championship game.

Him being at the Bolton game makes sense as he's north West based and would no doubt fancy a Friday night match.

Think he's a wannabe Agnew, Neil.

All chaddy does (for the most part) is share links he's found wit Rovers news.

Roy Keane should have come to Ewood some 30 years ago as a player after giving his word to Jack Walker that he would sign. He reneged on that and went to Manchester UTD. He is not a honourable man and as such the club should have nothing to do with him.

This needs a bump. I would say Bowyer, if we get anything less than a victory on Weds, is a goner. Maybe wishful thinking but seven games without a win and Venkys will pull the trigger I think.

Personally I think Kean would be a nightmare. He'd walk out within two months with our setup.

Not sure who realistically we can get?

I think we could realistically still attract a half decent manager. That is not the problem.

The problem is the ignorance of our owners and their refusal to appoint an appropriate Chief Executive who could make an informed choice.
