Holloway. Another lunatic to add to the asylum.

In his last 4 jobs he has left 3 having been relegated or with the club well down the path towards relegation. Leicester, Palace, Millwall.

The only real success on his cv has been Blackpool, who are really incomparable to any other professional football club in the way they do their business. Holloway has managed to build his entire managerial reputation around an 18 month spell at Blackpool rather than the other 15 years in his managerial career where he has been mediocre at best.

Let's be fair though, his time at Blackpool was extraordinary. Everyone seems to forget that at the time Blackpool where only a few steps away from Accy Stanley when it comes to resources.

A couple of years ago, when we could spend, he would have been my choice but nowadays he seems to be a spent force. He'd probably have us playing attacking football though.

Holloway would jump at the chance to manage Rovers IMO. Didnt he want it after Kean went? Didnt he meet Shaw and Shebby for talks. Cant remember why he didnt get it. Sure someone who knows will post who kn

after now hearing the Holloways comments pre match on sky I'm glad we didn't get the little weasle.

Any new manager who comes in would surely end the pally atmosphere and bring in a coach to perform that role, whilst he got on with the ruthless job of picking the team.

He'd almost certainly look at the squad and install the most experienced players and give Kilgallon the arm band. Players would be given a game plan and be organised and motivated. He'd pull in favours from his contacts in the game and get another couple of old heads instead of recruiting more enthusiastic youngsters. He'd have a plan B and he would suss out the best XI on merit not age. He would expect to be under pressure to achieve results.

Sadly the main requirement seems to be to increase player values. This is very easy to do by bringing in players with little or no experience and giving them game time (harder to increase their value by millions, granted, but going to get even harder). The issue I have is that Bowyer appears to be complicit in this strategy. So instead of being the honourable non-Kean that we were promised is asking everyone to 'realise what they're trying to do here', instead of walking and giving Venkys a dilemma.

I wouldnt play Kilgallon atm or give him the armband.

Why not? Because of one clean sheet?

You do realise he's our best centre back, don't you. He needs to be the one given the time to gel with a partner rather than drafted in as cover. We need to have a firm defence on which to build. At the moment Hanley, despite the vast number of games he has had is always one red mist moment away from being a liability. He nearly went off last night, and frankly his captaincy style leaves a lot to be desired.

I would stick with Hanley and Duffy plus Raya.

Ppl complain about keep changing the defence but you got them games to develop a partnership and a proper understand of things.

We have a clean sheet now and we have to build on that

Because he has to back the establishment no matter

*sigh* It does seem that way. If Hanley and Kilgallon were Bowyer's pick he'd be saying the same about Duffy.

One honest post does not a new chaddy make.

We kept a clean sheet because Bolton mustered one shot in target all game. Frankly both teams could have played all night and never scored.

I'm not suggesting the defence didn't do ok but the clean sheet should have been a given against a goal shy Bolton side.

Bolton were very very poor and Madine in particular was atrocious.

Truth hurt chaddy ?

What's it got to do with you if I come here ?

Different viewS suggest more than one . But YOU were the only one in 14000 who heard bowyer chants .

Don't post brainwashed posts and you won't get pulled up . Keep it real

While I'd GENERALLY agree with dropping Duffy for Killa, I don't think doing so after Duffy was the only one who kept us from losing via Heskey is the best thing.

Hanley and Duffy have slowly gelled this season and if that continues, they deserve to be kept in. However, it means they'd have to show last night's kind of defending vs a much better quality team than Bolton.

Chaddy, I respect you, but to fabricate that you heard pro "Bowyer" chants Is pretty low.

Was Parson shouting on his own ?

I'd take anyone to replace the imposter we have at the moment.

Here's a huge straw to clutch at, and a million to one chance...

Paul Lambert was to appear on 5lives preview show last night, and was replaced last minute by Lawro....

What has chaddy fabricated? It was definitely 'Gary Bowyer's blue and white army' for a good minute before converting to 'Uncle Jack's Barmy Army' once more of the BBE got involved.

Chaddy is not lying. That is exactly what I heard.

100% was uncle jacks.

for what its worth, watching the recorded game later last night,it did seem like a very minuscule chant of gbs barmy army.. may have started and at this point the camera was right on gbs face but when the chant quickly erupted into uncle jacks.....(which made any chants for gb seem pathetic in comparison) you clearly see gb wince uncomfortably and put his head down, obviously this may just have been a coincidence, he could have just been reacting to something on the pitch(but it didn't seem that way to me)

personally i think the guy has cracked and genuinely lost touch with reality,

his big touchline smile and grin at full time(which again was clearly shown on tv, SCREEN GRAB ANYBODY?) just showed that the guy is clearly in a world of his own.

In the middle of the BBE they were chanting Gary Bowyers Blue and White army quite a lot and it caught on a few times. A small group in the middle near the back kept trying to get it going in the second half.

On the manager thing I wouldn't touch Holloway with a barge pole these days. I think a few seasons ago if he came in at the beginning of the season he'd have done well. Not now though, if a change is to be made it'll probably only come when we are in the mire and he isn't the man for struggling clubs. Plus there is no way this lot could carry out his brand of football.

It was happening for sure but most were ignoring it then it caught on briefly although no one near us joined in then of course the barmy army chant drowned it out. To be honest I think it spoke volumes that he doesn't have that support anymore because every other chant people joined in.
