I did have many happy seasons watching Alan Shearer at Ewood, but I have to come clean and say my current favourites are The Lilywhites, and I've been a ST holder at Deepdale for over 10 years.

I've noticed some idiot talk about intense rivalry between Rovers and North End and there will need to be special police and transport measures put in place for Rovers trip to Deepdale on 21/11/15, but I really do not think that there is anything like the bitterness that exists between Rovers and your 6-fingered cousins to the East. North End's big rivalry is with Blackpool and even these games in recent years have gone off fairly uneventful with perhaps the odd scuffle in Moor Park to keep plod busy. I doubt very much whether anything serious will kick off on 21/11/15 - frankly most North Enders don't care, and the Rovers fans I know feel the same.

I might be wrong, I hope I'm not, and I hope the 2 games between these great old clubs this season are testimonial to the long, proud and glorious historys of 2 great clubs.
